- Singapore Changi Airport is closed to the public between 13th May - 13th June 2021. But are you still allowed take a bus through there? That is what we will find out in this video.

Taking buses at the airport is always an uncomfortable feeling due to the warm environment. But better than the JB checkpoint
I missed Changi airport, especially SWARCO traffic lights
When it's too hot to walk outside, I usually walk in Changi.

I went to Jewel a few weeks back just to redeem a Jollibean e voucher. Took the time to explore the place too. I first time found out that some stores there have two levels and you need to climb the stairs to get the other level
This is so sad. I always go to Changi and now it’s closed. :(

No you can't unless you're a Airport staff

That's a good question. Unfortunately I don't have an essential reason to try that out for now.

Why do the bus drivers switch off their engine upon entering T2 for a period of time?
They are required to switch off the engine when going for a restroom break

T2 is a bona fide bus terminal

Changi Airport is one of my favourite places, especially Jewel
I'm quite sad that cannot go there because of COVID-19
At the same time, I feel a bit angry because they literally waste electricity when no one is inside the building (unless using them for quarantine)

They can still wait at the bus terminal..
Only people with a boarding pass will be allowed into the airport terminal building. The bus terminals remain accessible

For SBS Transit, SMRT and Tower Transit bus drivers, although they are loop services, they only do toilet breaks for short while before going back to the bus. Examples include 24, 27, 34 and 53.
Only Go-Ahead Service 36 drivers and SMRT Trains Changi Airport MRT Station staff will still be allowed to eat at any opened F&B outlets, or in their staff canteens, they are essential services and got nowhere to go; not just people with boarding pass and essential workers.
Similarly with the ban of dining in, all SMRT Trains and SBS Transit control station staff are allowed to eat at any F&B outlet of their choice.

There might have been a special arrangement where only workers / travellers are allowed to take the bus in.... that was what I was trying to find out 🙂

For people asking how about trains. Trains still operating however if you are non airport staff. You will be stopped from entering the terminal. So its a wasted trip since you can only be in the train station and not venture out. The lift from mrt to departure hall/arrival hall is closed so cannot sneak in.
