Omg I cant believe that they brought back the "Snorlax blocking the way" event
I too think it's really cool that they have this situation in the Let's Go games because it is a very clever way of temporarily halting progression in a way that only a Pokemon game can do. Although they actually use this "Snorlax Blocks The Way" situation quite a lot. It isn't even the first time they have had this situation play out in 3D.
In the main Series games every time you play in Kanto they have the "Snorlax Blocks The Way" situation, which is at least ten times with just the games that have Kanto on their own, & on top of that they have this "Snorlax Blocks The Way" situation play out in other regions like in Kalos on X & Y.
So honestly it's not really that surprising that they would do it in this game also, especially when you take into consideration that this is a reimagining/remake of Yellow Version.

Just save before you do this incase you don’t catch him, snorlax cam learn almost every move it can learn Thunderbolt ice beam flamethrower shadow ball psychic it’s worth it

Dude. I used so many berries and like 15 ultra balls with excellent throws every time before I caught it. I came here because I didn't know if I needed a stronger ball or not. Lol.

I had good luck spamming Screech when Toxic was being overcome. The two hits of Double Kick from Nidorina.

Just save right before you encounter it and keep shutting off the game until you catch it
I am ashamed they did not give us an option to do Wild Battles this way after I got here. They clearly have a system. If you faint it, they should ask if you want to catch it or leave and get EXP. Would have given this game way less hate.
I would have accepted it more, had I not encountered Snorlax and be reminded that they could have clearly had a traditional battle system. That is what hurts the most is it is in Let's Go, complete with a remix of the wild battle theme.

I dunno about you, but I’d catch a Snorlax in a Heavy Ball while it’s asleep. That’s the best way I know.

If you're having trouble killing Snorlax before he Rests, TM 13 Brick Break can help bring him down fast. Teach it to your strong physical attacker. Also, pick up some Awakenings from the PokeMart to deal with Yawn. Good luck! Resetting for an Adamant nature is grindyyyyy

Soon in getting let's go eevee im so exited it's my first time I'm so happy it only costs 49$ no tax so ima save up money to buy it on Amazon.com and get it ordered to my house as soon as it's here I Will eitmidietly start to play and have a fun time so glad I looked on Amazon at them let's go pikachu costs more so let's go eevee is better plus it will be easier to play on the nintendo there are less rules to do first so happy!!!!

Not really, lots of Pokemon move around which makes it harder.
much easier using handheld mode. But way more fun using the pokeball

You can get snorlax in cerulean cave
There’s only two, so you would wanna save before for the battles. But there is more in Cerulean Cave post game but they’re already awake and can just be caught.

It’s different in this game, it’s Let’s Go Pikachu and instead with some wild battles you have to make them faint first. But technically they don’t faint they calm down.

- Go up the tower to get Cubone to leave the tower.
- Exit Lavender town and head West (left).
- Go to Celadon City and go to Casino
- Fight Team Rocket's hideout
- Get Silph Scope from Giovanni
- Go back to Lavender Town and go up tower.
- Meet Mr. Fuji

I wonder if i could edit the games code, to make it treat all random encounters like this snorlax encounter, which would basically bring back random encounter battles.

No, it's not. Anyone notice the match timer in the upper right corner? Yeah, it's annoying AF. This Snorlax encounter is terribly designed because of it. Normally the whole Rest + Yawn combo would be mildly annoying, but, not stress-inducing because you can take your time and it won't run away. This stupid timer negates that. It makes Snorlax using Rest and Yawn a cheap stalling tactic till it runs off. I don't think anyone wants a 5 min timer for every encounter, especially Shiny Hunters.
If anyone was to make wild battles come back, this would not be the way to do it because it is not a good mechanic, imo.
