I'm 25 and I have wanted to dance ballet since I was 12 but the adults in my life never allowed me to because of my scoliosis and joint problems. Now that I am in adult I am working in PT to strengthen the muscles around my joints and my back muscles as well as trying to become more flexible (safely). I know that while I may never become a professional I can still safely dance ballet. And I will. I am so excited for the day when my doctor says I am doing well enough to take lessons. I've been working hard so I know it will happen soon.

@@emilieschulze305 if it's EDS or Marfan Syndrome, try to find a Physical Therapist or Personal Trainer that has experience with those conditions.

INCREDIBLE! 💙 Such beautiful strength and grace, AND they all look like they're having so much FUN! 💙 Eva, you are SUCH an inspiration to me! I've always wanted to be a "real" ballet dancer, but I could only take some ballet/tap/jazz lessons during the summer at the local community center when I was a kid, and I quit when I began to develop during puberty because I was way too self-conscious. But NOW, as a grandmother with arthritis and peripheral neuropathy and just four weeks out from major abdominal surgery, I'm absolutely DETERMINED to become a ballerina in my bedroom! 😅 THANK YOU, EVA! I❤YSM!

I'm 33 and I am going to start taking adult beginner ballet classes. I'm so excited. I had 3 years of dance way back when I was younger I really am excited to make this dream of mine come true.

*i would LOVE to do ballet but I’m as flexible as a piece of dry spaghetti (literally cannot even touch my toes) and I have the memory of a goldfish, if I were to perform I would forget everything because I also have a little bit of stage fright. I did like 2 months of Broadway Jazz and performed then and it was okay but still I don’t think I can handle ballet*
Start taking classes! If you need w good stretch routine I have a stretch playlist non my channel. You can do this!

She has to be at least eleven and her ankles and feet need to be strong enough. Until she's 11, her bones are still growing and she will damage her body by going on pointe too early.
