Hi Kim, just wanted to wish you and your lovely family Happy Xmas from Worcester, U.K. Im not even sure how I came across your channel a while ago but I love it and always look forward to following your adventures! I also love Australia and was lucky to travel round some of it for 6 wks with my then 2 1/2 yr & 8yr old sons. My eldest is 27 now and still remembers it as one of the best experiences of his life! Hi Kim i know Australia is a lot different from Scotland but surely you enjoyed the warm night out with Ayla checking out the Xmas lights .Another that i enjoy is Carols by Candlelight in most areas on a warm night sitting out and enjoying the community atmosphere .I hope your visitors from home reinforce just how lucky you are to be here and help you settle a bit more . As a kid from Scots parents i am sooo glad they immigrated here and went through all the trials and tribulations that they had so we could grow up in this wonderful country :)
Yes it's a beautiful country. Our kids are loving it however Christmas is not the same, we get snow back home, it's cold and just as you would expect christmas to be. We are also surrounded by family so being here without is understandably tough. I'll be fine come January and I'm on the beach 😅😅😅

Completely understand how homesick you are right now Kim and the package was lovely but just so you're aware, everything in that package apart from the crisps is readily available here just in case you should need to replenish. Is your son dairy free? My son is allergic to milk and egg and we’re looking at moving across to Australia… just wondered what your experience with his allergy has been like over there?
hello. He is dairy free yes, i'm managing it well to be honest. I do think the UK has better range of options for prepared things like lunches/meals etc but there are a lot of ingredient options here which make it easy to make things. I haven't found that he has struggled. I'm not sure about eggs - i would definitely make that clear - especially if attending events with bbq's etc x
