I had the pleasure of seeing Jethro Tull perform Thick As A Brick, live at The Royal Albert Hall back in 1972 and can truely say that I am impressed by the ability of these young people, and am EXTREAMLY happy that 40 years on there are people who appreciate the music that was created before they were born.

As a lifelong fan of Jethro Tull , since the early 1970's , first off let me say it's rare to even find a band with even the ability to attempt Jethro Tull , due to the complexity , time signature changes , etc. Every one of these kids are very talented. Milena is especially talented on the flute , she nailed every piece. Carlo , is a phenomenal drummer. Barriemore Barlow is one of the all time great drummers , and you did remarkable work Carlo !! Wow, hard to believe some of the criticisms on this. Carlo Ribaux you guys did a great job on this. I think people really need to take a step back and understand that Jethro Tull recorded this over the course of a week in a studio, this is a faithful cover and it's done live, great production on the whole thing. That dude playing organ is amazing, and the drummer ain't too shabby either ;) Is the flautist as good as Ian Anderson? Who cares!! She's great and a lot better looking!

9 years later I find this...It is amazing...okay TAAB side one is a feat in itself but to play both sides live is remarkable. I saw Tull back on the TAAB tour and they didn't even do the whole side 2. The acoustic guitar player nailed it. Kudos to the drummer the bassist and red organ , the real glue of the band, and that quiet dude on the piano in the back. But damn that young lady is great on the flute and is into it, and is cute too! I hope she is still playing today. I live on the north shore of Boston and would have driven in to the city to see this band if I knew about it at the time. Berklee should advertise or open these recitals to the public to promote the ART... BRAVO to this production !

The most extraordinary cover of Jethro Tull I have ever seen on the Web or live anywhere.
You make a seasoned musician like me wish he had it to do over again.
Then I would attend the Berklee school of music and seek out musicians of your caliber and talent.
You make it look easy (and it's not)!
Fulfilling a dream of doing a live performance of Jethro Tull especially that album, has been my goal.
So inspired by Ian Anderson was I, that I remained a dedicated flutist to this day at age 61.
I still play his music for sidewalk cafes, coffee shops and ice cream shops for the nostalgic adults and parents who don't mind his provocative lyrics.
You really did justice to side one and side two. That refers to the days when music came on vinyl records. "Thick As a Brick"
was referred to as a concept album. That means rock artists of the day were competing to play non-stop on each side of the record to break away from the traditional way of recording music. No dead air between songs made the album go over big at
    beer and pot parties.
Aside from all that, you picked a musical genius to perform and you can take that to the bank!
    Well done Berklee!!

WOW!!! - And I've been playing for almost 50 years... So I know greatness when I hear it! - I've seen the band "Jethro Tull" perform this song live three times (but never" "complete" like the version on this video), and other than the original band members; this is by far the best "Thick as a Brick" cover ever!
For the musician's ages and experience levels at the time, they should all be way beyond proud of themselves, especially the floutist (or "flutist" in untrained music circles) , she was beyond fantastic, and super-close to Ian Anderson himself, and that's saying a lot! 😊

Being a (very) long-time Tull fan, I just stumbled upon this the other day and was totally blown away. What amazing combined talent to be able to pull off this challenging masterpiece. The drummer, organist and bass player are exceptional; the xylophone/bells player, acoustic and electric guitarists, flautist and additional keyboard player are all very good. The weak link is clearly the vocalist, who -- to his credit -- still does a good job with the lyrics despite the obvious foreign accent. I see Carlo has gone on to a successful career in the LA area and hope whichever of you have also graduated continue to make great music. You made for an exceptional group, and got your timings all very well coordinated. I've listened to this several times through and derive pleasure not just from the music itself, but from seeing these talented young adults doing such a wonderful job and clearly enjoying themselves tremendously while at it. Best wishes to all of you!

Man, this is really outstanding. I consider Thick as a Brick to be one of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded. And doing the whole thing in one go was even challenging for Tull! So hearing a group of what I assume to be music students is really impressive.

Congrats on such a good version. I saw Tull do this full version 49 years ago in Cambridge UK and it blew my mind then. The thought that younger folk such as you guys, along with my daughters, dig it, it keeps the legend of Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson alive.

Superb cover ever, brings me back to my youth in Jan 1973 when I first spun my JT LP on my girlfriend's Sanyo 3 in 1 turntable. I knew the lyrics instantly as if I was 19 & Ian Anderson was singing this.

I seriously can’t believe I just saw this! And heard! Wow! I’m just blown away. You guys are great! You put it all together so nicely! And I mean ALL OF IT! I can’t help but think that the best part about all of this is the fact that this song is not only brilliant musically but its lyrics are all about critical thinking and if there’s anything we need from the “Oh Very Young” it’s critical thinking and great taste in music to carry us all through! We STILL need to sheath our swords and lift our pens…and our voices. This is a masterpiece indeed. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo! Spread it far and wide …and thick. Thick as a brick.
