That time signature switch is a poly-rhythm. It's a 4-4 over a 6-8. In other words you play in six-eight with the right hand and four-four with the kick and snare.

The time goes from 4 to 6. But it’s an easy transition to do because 6 and 4 at any speed can be intertwined together to make it sound like each other. I play those all the time.
