Good review, I am a fan of the 50. Cal Mag and got some slack in review I did over a year back, still happy with them but if this is better then I have to give them a shot as the baby lists FX I’ve been using next to my Mags don’t stand up to the hype. Thanks for the review, ill be ordering a set

I just bought my .50 cal BMGs and I love them and my .22 stingers as well. That’s my new set up at work. No more JRL’s but clippers and trimmers.

Great video, I’m looking for a powerful clipper to remove bulk and get through trims quicker. Is there a liner that you would recommend.

I think its good with bulk but not great with bulk. Although i would say magnetic motors are not meant for bulk anyway.

Hey I also have the .50 cal (3rd gen) and I def disagree on it having good power. The power is 🗑 and doesn't cut through any bulk well. I'm talking like an Indian or Asian guy that hasn't got a cut in like 2 months when I say bulk as opposed to a 2 month Afro wolf. It's not the one. 5 watts is booty 😂 However, I do love the clipper and mostly use it for shaping and for beards. Surprisingly use it alot just almost never fade w it. I am looking forward to the new 10watt on the BMG. I think anything 9 or higher is all you need. Great review man. 👏

Cuts by Reggie recently did a video about rpm vs spm . And he said that for every spm you cut that in half and that tells you the rpm. So for this clipper it says 10,000 spm so would that be 5000 rpm’s. If so that seems low. Am I wrong here. ?
Yes spm is always half the rpms.., I’ve done a video like that as well a while back
This is not correct. Rpm is used for rotary motors. Spm for magnetic motors. They don’t correlate to each other like that. Companies mislead with these numbers. Power is determined by the motor type. Not rpm. Both are measures of how fast that blade goes back and forth. But a 10,000 spm clipper doesn’t mean it has 5,000 rpm.

@@Media-oh8xcfaster yes. These clippers have different types of motors. A rotary motor, a brushless motor, and a magnetic motor are all different and spm doesn’t necessarily line up with rpm. Rpm is more for rotary type motors think Rebel, Saber, low pro, etc. Spm is the measure for magnetic motors as it measures strokes and not revolutions like rotary motors. Think Caliber bmg, stylecraft mythic, Ergos etc. all magnetic clippers with SPM numbers not rpm.
