Short tutorial on how I made this track in renoise.
Take a trip back to some 90s inspired jungle music, and see how each element was put together.
In this video I used Renoise:

That Castle in the sky sample is so darn creative, if I ever watch that movie again, I'm going to have to listen for that, just for the fun and satisfaction of it! ;D
+ Nice track :) (Simple can be really good! :D )

Very interesting. I mess about making breakbeat hardcore in Ableton. I heard of trackers but never really got what they did. The per-sample approach explains a lot of the effects that are quite time-consuming to do in Ableton but appear to be simple in this sort of DAW

There are great ways to chop and trigger breakbeats in Ableton, but the workflow in Renoise has some pretty cool methods for triggering samples. It just takes a while to adjust from a typical DAW timeline to the Renoise tracker system.

Add an EQ and boost around 80-150hz by taste around 3db and take a high shelf lower it by about 2db to reduce the clarity

2:10 How do you do that? Automate the sample to play out of order etc. New to Renoise 😎
