Tekken is not only about the close range juggle, and howard is just about it.
They added a few moves to him in Tekken 7 but not nearly as many as they removed. He had a lot of good lows that they removed in Tekken 7.

If Hwoarang is using the Falcon Dive Kick from Hwang Sung Kyung than that means Hwang Sung Kyung can use The Human Cannonball from Hwoarang and Baek Doo San except Hwang Sung Kyung can keep His Five Throws With 3 More for Him in Soul Calibur 6 and Soul Edge make that 8 Throws for Him both of There Names Sound Alike.

I have learned how to play as Jin, Steve, Paul, Bruce, Bryan, Dragunov and Feng at a fairly high level of play.
But I don't think Ill ever get Hwoarang down. Way too many damn stances and way too much risk of getting poked out of each stance. Just transitioning into each stance to get the most out of his poke game requires way more practice than I would ever want to put into it.

well a well played hwoarang literally can destroy the games xD , so learning hwoarang is totally worth it, maybe hard, but worth it xD
The reason Hwo's flamingo transitions are unsafe is mainly due to a lowered mobility, no blocking, and his transitions are usually high hits thus vulnerable to high crushes. The only real benefit of it is the frame advantage, which gives him a strong offense game, sacrificing a huge part of the defense game. Against parry-happy Jun/Asuka players, a Hwo player will have to bait out the parry by changing up his offensive rhythm. I usually delay my flamingo atks, use more lows, or grab them.
Flamingo is very important and always has to be done with such risk. So many people will challenge everything to try with any character, it can be extremely hard to go into the transition sometimes.

True. I've played quite a few online matches lately with TTT2 and often times I lose with hwo when I am constantly being kept from being in close with the flamingo stance up. People who are good at fighting hwo will keep him out of his flamingo stance and if he does get into it, they will get him out of it as quickly as they can. I think anybody can get a little flustered given enough time in Hwo's lockdown, so the key is to prevent the lockdown from happening.
With the new RF d+4,3 there is a possibility for canceling the 3 into LF, but taking form into consideration, it doesn't seem likely to go into flamingo after hitting 3 first. It would be a great addition and even kind of cheap in a way being that it would be a low to mid transition.
I stood in flamingo stance once. I was waiting for a bus at the time.

Hwoarangs moves do more damage.But the majority of his moves are high - mid which isnt effective against players who crouch. Baek fluidly moves from all three

you can use it for foxstepping and confusing your opponent..some ok attacks out of that stance too
Awesome, I use Hwoarang as my main, so this should help out a lot!
Flamingo transitions are usually unsafe for Hwo. I'm not the best Tekken player, but I love when people play too aggressively. It makes playing Jun much more enjoyable. Their aren't many moves out that Jun can't parry. When he's in his Flamingo stance, I know all the moves he can throw out, I'm a Hwo player myself. So I can parry almost everything.

I think that's just how Hwo is played. He has the flamingo frame advantage for his offense, thus why not use it, since that is his forte. He can't go toe-to-toe in poking with fast strikers like Steve or the Laws and he is not really played well as a counter-striker. One can try, but Hwo will never out-match characters who are more adept at those area of the game. He will have to use flamingo transition offense at some point. But flamingo transition offense is a double-edged sword anyway.

are you using a pad?
Push forward, wait for a quarter of a second, then follow with down, down/forward and press Right Kick (B or Circle) at the same time you press down/forward. Not that hard, really.
Another interesting caviat: simply use motion switch (X+Circle or A+B) then just input forward, wait again for a quarter second, then just press down/forward for the Just Frame Sky Rocket.
Why did they have to take out his RF d+4,3 transition move from RF to LF? I like the new replacement move, but they could've made it RF d+3+4 instead of replacing it. He needed it before and now they took it out. Buffed and then nerfed. I would've liked to see which kicks can cancel into flamingo though since I think I've seen some new cancels in past TTT2 videos. df+4,3 looks good, much better than his old df+4, and I like the addition of being able to do flashing trident from LF.
They did that because players were using it in tag assault combos too much and it simply did too much dmg.

Well I think its the "cheap" ppl playing with Hwo that make him so hated. I'm actually one of the few ppl online that doesn't play him in a cheap way. A lot of high rank dudes I run into playing with him just do flamingo transitions constantly (its annoying as hell), its like that is their only offense -- very cheap. He has other offensive techniques, that are honorable imo.

Let me rephrase if I block a plus frame move that's less than 20 most moves in this game are hella slow that give plus in block and you say poke but it doesn't help that he has a pretty good counter game, evading counters at that. Whatever when I learn him that's all she wrote
