This video was filmed in Dubai during summer 2020
I was organising my videos folder on my computer and realised that I never posted this vlog filmed in Dubai at the end of the lockdown 2020. I felt it would be insensitive knowing everything that was still going on in the world to post it straight away.
Intro
After staying a few months at home without going out, life in Dubai continued to take its course, and everything is starting to reopen.
I usually go back to France during the summer holiday to visit my family but France, like most countries in the world, is still in full lockdown and the borders completely closed. With what we had left of holiday, we decided to explore and have our holiday here in Dubai. It feels good to breath fresh air, live again and see something else other than the walls of our home! I choose to go and stay for the weekend at one of my favourite hotels in Dubai that just reopened a few days ago.
I forgot how tricky it can be to find a decent outfit to wear on holiday when you dress modestly accordingly to my hijab in the warmest weather so I’m sharing with you my advice to make it easy for you. Staying by the pool, enjoying the fresh air on our faces without a mask on and having our first dinner out in an Italian michelin restaurant from renowned chef Niko Romito.

Watching from beginning to the end. So relaxing to watch and also without ads which is a big factor that contributes to the calmness of the vlog. How long were you in lockdown?
The UAE was the first in the world to go into lockdown and really performed the best when handling urgency so we started early around March 2020. We already knew something was up end of Feb/March so people where kind of getting ready and we where out of lockdown in July 2020 and never had to go back in lockdown again after that 🫶🏻
Dubai is still on lockdown? But the pandemic has ended
