    You say In your video that before bringing her to the shampoo station, you prepare your toner. But you need to wash out the lightener before hand. Do you try to shampoo only the light bits and not touch the roots or do you wash the entire head and then apply the toner? I feel like the dark colour always darkens the lightened strands when washing out the lightener and root

    • @lisahuffhair
      @lisahuffhair  Před 6 lety +5

      If I said that it was a mistake. I do a full shampoo back at the bowl first. If you find that the base is bleeding into the ends using cold water will prevent that.

    Would you go in with a root melt and toner when finished rinsing the root (if grey) and the bleach? Or would you just tone the ends and leave the roots as they are,? Thanks! X

    So... Did you leave the root coloring while you applied the lightning?
    Is it better that way? Or is it better to leave the root touch up and after rinsing it and drying it doing the balayage?
    (sorry... I couldn't tell very well if you were doing it both at the same time...)

    So if my roots are dark (around level 4) and I want to lighten them up a couple of levels (maybe to a 5) and also balayage, how would I go about doing that? Would you recommend bleach to 6 and then dye, or a hi-lift? Also with touching up the roots as it grows out, would you just do the same lift and it should blend in seamlessly with the previously lightened hair (the level 5), and then use the lightener higher up on the ends? This has been racking my brain. Thank you!

      nothing is being lifted on her roots, So she isn't worried. She is only depositing and its not darker then her natural. The lightner is applied further down. You get hot roots when you use a higher volume ( 30 or 40) or lightner against the root and its lighter then their natural.
