I’ve tested almost all the 35mm f0.95 lenses out there! Up next is to do one big video with all of them in it! Don’t forget to like and subscribe so you won’t miss when I release that video! ❤🫰
Amazing review! You got a new subscriber! do you think its the same glass that they used on the 35 T.1.05 Vision Cine Lens??
im pretty sure it is! It looks and feels similar@@MyMarketingGuy101
Pretty cool imagies. I like the grainy look to be honset. It's kind of nostalgic and it reminds me of the old photos that used to print right away straight from the camera.
I like that nostalgic look too!
My 7artisans 35mm f1.2 mark ii was much sharper at 1.2 than the 0.95 was at f1.8.
I have to love my 7artisans 35mm 0.95 lens! I I don't have an issue with this cap. I do knock off the aperture accidentally from time to time. I don't experience chromatic abberations because I try not to have naked branches or wires in the background when I'm shooting portrait. There is much less flair than I expected and it looks beautiful. I was able to manual focus this lens in taking street photos of people discreetly from the hip. I think it is plenty sharp if I can nail the focus. But nailing the focus is the hardest part because the focus peeking feature is not precise enough, and parts that appear in the focus may not actually be in focus.
It’s a very good lens I really like it
Agree with all your observations from my experience with this lens on x-series Fuji. It can produce some awesome portraits wide open with the focus nailed, peak focussing helps esp in poor light situations. For street photography you need to practice manual focus to nail moving close up subjects so set your camera to CF high to catch the subject moving through the very narrow focal plane. If you want to nail detail for wider/landscape shots then you really need to stop down to f5.6/f8 for detail and even then it doesn't resolve well in comparison to native Fuji glass but will produce good usable images - colour reproduction seems a little muted/vintage and that can be nice in some scenarios. It's a 'love it or hate it' lens but at its price point well worth giving a go, but lose the lens cap and buy an after market hood which will help with the IQ and help protect the front element. Personally I love this lens despite its faults, esp for wide open close up subjects and idiosyncratic 'imperfect' portraits.
that's the spirit!
It was helpful. It was nice to see some good portraits taken with this lens.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I have this lens and i love it! It should be a few hundred dollars more because of its image quality…overall It’s amazing 😻
It really is!
Looks legit - and FANTASTIC images, as always!!
thanks jerred!
Beautiful portraits man!
This lenses glued to Fuji camera for a while (I have xf 35mm f2 as well for more clinically needs or active situation) Yes their cap is nasty never bring it and just replacing with the cheap one with pinch nikon style instead. I also put a duck tape to that lousy aperture barrel at 0.95 for sure. For its performance over the price I don’t complain for its “character” compare to my Sony Zeiss 50mm f1.4, I have more fun with this 7artisans.
I did owned this lens for a while, but the chromatic aberrations were getting too distracting for my taste so I upgraded to the Argus 33mm
The argus is the cream of the crop when it comes to f0.95 lenses
Amazing shots with this lens 💪🏻
Thank you 🙌
The new Brightin Star one looks similar but clicked!
That sounds amazing!
very nice review... thank you
Thank you
Hi bro!!! Great shots. What recipe are you using at 4:35? Pls pls pls share its way too nice!!!
Nostlagic negative by joe dagostino
I guess Brightin Star fixed the clicked aperture on their version? Mine clicks and stays on the desired f-stop.
Ya BS is better in that regard
Which prime lens would you suggest for someone who's starting out in the field of photography?
The nifty fifty
I like this lens !
I have the TTartisans 35 mm 1.4, but idk, sometimes it's hard to do street photography with a manual focus lens 😅
ya it's a challenge! But it could be rewarding!
Which is sharper at 0.95? This or the Meike 35 0.95?
I think the Meike is just a bit sharper, but that's like splitting hairs.
Nice review! How would you rate this compared to Mitakon?
Mitakon is sharper wide open but more expensive and has an uglier lens flare. I find the 7artisans lens flare to be more pleasing.. and a better price.
Which is better brighten star or 7artisans
Both are great.
Laowa 33mm f.95 hands down. I wish that lens had AF.
same!
My gac has been desiring a fast 35mm again 😂…
I definitely have a Voigtlander fetish now so the new Voigtlander 35mm f0.9 that’s coming out this coming month is on my wishlist - but it might be on the wishlist for a while cus damn it’s expensive 😬
What’s the price of one? I haven’t heard of a price.
@@Iamtongue preorder here in UK is £1199 - not sure what it will be in €… somewhere between €1200-€1400 probably, maybe.
@@sammy_sam_leonardo goodness gracious! I will be living vicariously through you then.. 🥹😂
@@Iamtongue 😂😂 goodness gracious is right 💀💀
Im back! Hate the fracking swamps!
If I may ask; Which (in your and your lady’s opinion) third brand 35mm lens (excluding Tamron or Sigma) is the most versatile lens under $400 dollars. Ok you can choose one and two maybe’s (for a total of three). However, the one you choose as the most versatile has to be vastly superior to the other two. Oh and we don’t care about aperture.
Ps.
This has been an office debate since last November. We are in an impasse 😂🤣😂🤣
that's a tough one...there are some others i havent tried like the Viltrox.. and i hear that's really good for its price.
and welcome back!
@@Iamtongue we wait for it! The guys also want me to tell you to stay within digital.
Cool guys don’t need good lens caps. Come on man.
Ohh Shieeet… you right 😂😎
it's so cheap you don't need a lense cap
hahah true
