Also remember that attempting to go out the door will get any villager to be like, "Oh, you're leaving? I'll get going then!" Then they'll leave and you can go out or go back to whatever you were doing, but this is a cool tip nonetheless!

They will also say its time to leave if you go into your storage for a moment and then come out again. most of the time when I go to get things in my home storage, when I come back out they are all "ok, gota delta...seeya and thanks for all the fun" and I'm like "ya only just got here? Ok...."

I’ve noticed while starting up into the game and you enter your house, it’ll usually be a few moments until a villager will enter your house. I just run into my washroom and wait a bit before they leave lol 😂

I remember everyone complaining that NH didn't have that feature and were like "uhhhh my villagers don't visist me anymore". Meanwhile I was glad they didn't and now I can't decorate my house in peace. Or just...chill at home. 🤣😂
Almost every time I pull out my phone while a villager is in my house, they almost immediately leave when I put it away 🙃

I like it when they come in! It’s nice because all my villagers are fun to talk to and hang around with and I like being surprised!
Fun fact: In Japan, cockroaches aren't necessarily a symbol that a house is dirty or messy. Seeing multiple cockroaches in the open is more of a symbol that a house is abandoned or unused as cockroaches loathe activity and thrive in stagnation. That's why you get cockroaches in Animal Crossing when you haven't played the game in a while.
Also if you're in another room and hear knocking, just stay in that room and they'll eventually leave
Fun fact you could also just go through the door like your leaving and they will say goodbye

Simple solution is pressing down so you can redecorate your whole room with no interruptions plus it makes designing so much easier
I like it when my villagers come in! I don’t do much in my house except change my villager’s look and when hopkins comes in it reminds me how much he cares about me and how much our friendship has grown (also he compliments my unorganised decor)
I find it so cute that lazy villagers don't be scared by roaches, it's a little detail but make the game even cooler

I had sherb come over after he said “the cockroaches in my house are getting a little noisy” and when he came over and saw my cockroaches was kinda excited and said “why did you never tell me you have cockroach friends too?!”

@@planymphia I recall Drago on my island talks often about the bugs in his house. He's also said to me before, that his HHA report comments that he has too many bugs in his house, which is interesting, since before getting that dialog from him, I'd give him bugs frequently, typically once on most days that are common bugs I don't feel like it's worth walking over to get them sold. He, btw, calls me his snack buddy. He also refers to me by the nickname "Burrito"

Usually when this happens I just put my switch on sleep mode, take like a thirty minute break, and then come back.
They usually also leave when i sit on the piano and hop off

One time a villager came into my house while I was in another room, and they kept calling for me but I didn’t come out so they just left lol. Honestly pretty accurate to my real life
another thing that also works is when the villager comes in is to completely stop moving. I found out they leave very quickly this way when I got mad and set down my switch, then picked it up like 30 seconds later and they said they were gonna leave.
They usually come in my house when I’m in another room because they’ll assume I’m not home so I’ll just stay in the room until they leave but it still sucks that I can’t leave until THEY leave.

I had a villager come in while I was decorating and I interacted with their framed photo. The went "Aww that's so sweet" and left. It was the only time that interacting with it made them leave but I thought it was hilarious at the time

Just block the entrance either in or out so they can't get in. You can also just go to a different room and come back and they'll say they're ready to leave. I do this all the time 😂
You can also just open a dresser, select change outfit, and exit, and the villager will say they're leaving. Basically you threaten to get naked and they'll leave out of shame
