Wonderful video presentation. Part 1 gave a nice overview of Rosicrucian history and part 2 summed up the prevailing esoteric idea that to be a true Rosicrucian is to "be in the world, but not of it". Interestingly enough, the American branch of the Masonic Rosicrucian Society (SRICF) is meeting this November. The SRICF and SRIA ( Masonic Rosicrucian Society of England) enjoy a very close fraternal relationship and I have personally met the Supreme Magus of both jurisdictions. The current top worldwide Rosicrucian Order is the amazing, non-Masonic, Rosicrucian Order, AMORC (Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis). AMORC operates using a Grand Lodge system with Grand Masters located in free countries around the world. They have a worldwide leader called the Imperator (President) and were officially established in 1915. The See (Headquarters for the American branch of AMORC) is located in San Jose, California, and is called Rosicrucian Park. Certain sections of the park is open to the public and it is magnificent. The entire park is in Egyptian style. Absolutely beautiful. And the park houses the largest collection of authentic Babylonian and Egyptian artifacts on the Western Hemisphere. The American Supreme Grand Temple of AMORC is located in Rosicrucian Park and it is a full replica of an actual temple which used to exist in Egypt. It is something so beautiful to experience and I will remember it, always. Also, the current Grand Master for AMORC in America is a remarkable woman who has been Grand Master since 2000! I keep getting confused with the difference/similarity between SRIA and AMORC Rosicrucianism. Is there any explanation out on this?

Oh, I see. Higgins is referring to a number of fake 'Rosicrucian' orders that were invented simply to con the gullible ('gulls') into paying for membership of a useless organisation. One that sounded impressive, but had no real meaning or structure behind it.
He goes on to contrast this with Ancient Craft Masonry that actually does have an historical and intellectual provenance.
