    This video shows a timelapse video on how to model a simple Stylized Stone Floor. Autodesk maya was used to model, Zbrush for sculpting, and Substance Painter for texturing. The goal of the video was to make a model in less than an hour.

    Thanks so much for your videos, they really help a lot :) It would be awesome if you could make a video explaining how to create those brushes you are using or giving us access to them.

    Thanks. I was looking for this and this one is the best tut I’ve found. Just a question: When you are duplicating the meshes (rocks) to make them tileable are you just doing it by eye? Btw I’m gonna buy your “how to create stylish painter material” right now. ^^Thanks again.

      @3dextrude  Před 6 lety +1

      If you do it by eye you will probably get seams. You want to snap the pieces to the grid, hold down x to snap to the grid.

    why did you move your UV on the negative space? also are all those new plane are instance in the middle one?

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  Před 5 lety

      Sometimes Substance Painter has problems baking when you have a lot of overlapping UVs so I moved them.

    • @pawpotsRS
      @pawpotsRS Před 5 lety

      3dEx so the middle one was his uv are set on 01 while the other 8 was on negative 01 uvs?

    I am doing the same with the bricks and everything, but I want the model to be a texture, how can I do that?
    Or to be more specific, I have a wall and want it to tile accros the "wall"

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  Před 5 lety

      Thats what this video shows, hot to make a texture out of the models.

      @@3dextrude ^Yeah, baking but I want tiles across the wall not just the 10 stones I sculpted to be baked :)

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  Před 5 lety

      As long as you place the stones correctly your texture will tile accross a wall.

    why u are turning off seams and details value sir ?

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  Před 5 lety +2

      So there are no seams in the texture. The details determine how thick the curvature lines are, I prefer lower values.

  • @user-xo7wh2fm4x
    @user-xo7wh2fm4x Před 6 lety

    Do you have any substance painter baking option tips? I follow your videos and do bake is fine, but doing on my own, high poly doesn't bake well...no detail come out.

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  Před 6 lety +1

      None at all? Make sure your Uvs are importing correctly, also make sure you are setting the correct high poly in the bake options.

    • @user-xo7wh2fm4x
      @user-xo7wh2fm4x Před 6 lety

      Yeah, I better check what you said.
      And only low poly one needs UVMap.. is that right?

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  Před 6 lety +1

      Yeah, only the low poly needs uvs

    • @TeeinnHuang
      @TeeinnHuang Před 6 lety +1

      I think i had the same problem with you. (now i've sloved it)
      my problem was that duplicating the low square poly to 3*3 grid and every square use the same uvmap at first.
      you need to take every square uvmap out except the center one.(just move the useless square uvmap out in the editor) like the video at 3:12.
      this part is so important,but i didn't notice it at first and spent a lot of time to research it.
      the reason why i guess is the substance painter excatly help us to render the normal on center one,but the other squares around center one are flat and when we're not move them out,SB will render there normal as well. and the result will be covered by the other normal.
      hope this help you.

    • @3dextrude

      For that I recommend using an ambient occlusion map instead of a curvature map.
