- Weeds are an important bottle neck in rice crop production. Herbicides (weed killer) are playing very important role in weed management in rice crop. Use of herbicides saves time as well as labor. Ghorra ghas (Leptochloa chinensis), Swanki (Echinochloa colona) and Deela (Cyperus rotundus) are considered as the most important weeds. Hundreds of the rice herbicides are being marketed but all are not equally effective. Council Activ 30 WG کونسل ایکٹو is the combination of (Ethoxysulfuron ethyl+triafamone) and is a long shot and considered as very safe herbicide for this purpose. In this video, we have guided the farmers to use a product of bayer cropscience named as Council Activ 30 WG کونسل ایکٹو @75 gram/acre through shaker application to control rice weeds.
This herbicide works better in aqueous, submersed and anaerobic condition. It may be applied after 3-5 days of transplanting @ 75 gram per acre through shaker bottle application. Repeated wetting and drying of paddy field may result into incomplete results. It may also be partially helpful in direct seeded rice (DSR) and nursery planted through dry methods for effective control of different herbs.
