Oh yay! Acrylics! I have no problem with black. I'm currently painting a scarlet tanager (bird) and the wings are black.
I've only seen a few minutes of this and I love it already!

I am SO glad to hear you say you like to use black. I have for so long always felt guilty whenever I would pull out a tube of black paint, after hearing artist say you would never use it. But I think from seeing you, and some others, that using black is perfectly acceptable. Thank you!!

I'll be 52 in October and I never saw that method of scraping the knife to add detail to a painting, in this case the gravel path. Where in the world have I been hiding?? Amazing technique, and those holes in trees to show sky behind is nuts, has a photographic quality to the whole painting.
