They "hide" most new uploads apart from those they consider "worthy". I think the concept of having "subscribers" no longer works since most people end up watching what's being promoted and not what they've subscribed to... CZcams says that their recommendations allow to maximize "watch time" which in turn generates more money from ads for them, but for us, youtubers, it basically means losing all our subscribers. Now we have to rely on random promotions from CZcams triggers by either exceptionally interesting content or simply "clickbaits" - catchy pictures and titles that don't correspond to the content.
