Latin Piano Exercise
This is a practice video lesson that will help you improve your Latin playing style on the piano. in this special video i will give you 7 exercises that if you practice them you will become a Latin Musician
the exercises are based on a simple and basic chord progression containing 4 simple chords
Am G F E
in addition, i will teach you two Latin-style bass roles for the left hand, in this case you can choose a role that suits your level of playing.
the second bass role that i will show you will be a bit more challenging, this is a classic bass role called Tumbao, and is very useful in Salsa music

@@aaronhillsworld4230 thank you very much 🙏🌹
I just discovered your channel today by accident. ¡Love your Channe! 🙏
Great tutorial… not a lot of unnecessary talking & you went straight into the music! Each exercise was explained thoroughly but plain and simple… I’ve been looking all over for a tutorial specifically Latin piano techniques! Thanks a bunch ✊🏾🎹
Thank you so much ♥️🌹
Let me tell you : this is by far the BEST latin tutorial on you tube ! Subscribed immediately. And the great thing is that we can apply the same concept forcany chord progression. The way you break the difficulty of the pattern using exercises rising slowly in difficulty is a great idea instead of just showing the pattern at a slow tempo. I loved the fact that you explained how it is built and so we can apply the same concept to create other patterns. Thank u so much , you are a wonderful teacher ( from a math teacher!!!) . Greetings from France, Philippe
Thank you so much Philippe 🙏.
It makes me happy to hear that.🌹

This is a fantastic tutorial. Now I can add more authentic latin spice when I play Spain and Armando's Rhumba. Thank you sir!
Thanks Juan🙏
I love how you break things down into smal components. The breaking down of the rythm with counting 1and makes it managable for me. I learnt to play the piano classical style so this is a bit overwhelming, but I feel that I can manage it with your great instruction.
Thank you so much Tamara
Thank you so much! You make the world a better place! (people who like and play music don't make war..)
Thank you so much Marco ♥️🌹♥️♥️
I am starting the piano today, and this is the first thing I am trying to learn. Thank you very much for this lesson!
Big like Remy 👍 keep following ♥️♥️🌹
Great demonstration on how to that Latin piano thing. Thanks.
Thank you very much ♥️🌹
... I hope, sir, at the end of the video, you will continue to play for a long time, at least half an hour, so that we can practice with you as if we are live with you ... Thank you for your effort ... Salute to the best teacher ...
Thanks 🌹
Five Thumbs up!! Excellent gradulated teaching steps. Quality of the key press video portion is the best I'vwe seen on CZcams.

THANKS TEACHER THAT WAS A MASTERPIECE CLASS. I DO HAVE A SONG WITH A SALSA PIECE IN THAT EXACT PROGRESSION.
Thank you very much Ross 🌹
I am a beginner and don't even have left - right hand independence. But I love latin music. This is by far the best step by step progressive video. Each exercise in this video is just a joy to make progress to. Thank you so much for putting this together. For the first time I can play with both hands after a lot of counting and slowing down the metronome. I am so excited to hear myself play this.
Thank you Ryan, I'm so happy 🙏♥️

Nice tutorial , I am now trying to master exercise 2.
Good luck Yvon 🌹
Very good exercise to learn the basic piano "montuno" of salsa. Thank you very much for showing it. Although I understand that the bass line in this particular exercise could only be for harmonic reference of the roots of the chords. Usually and frequently when one plays the "montuneo", or the "guajeo" of salsa on the piano, the bass line is omitted by the left hand. In reality the voices of the chords are distributed between the two hands and the rhythmic movement is parallel in both hands, similar to the rythmic patern that he is using on his right hand. In this way the "arpeggio" is harmonized with the chordal intervals being distributed between the two hands. It's kind of a harmonized arpeggio. Which produces a richer and more interesting harmony. And if you use open chordal voicing, like the ones used in jazz music, it really becomes even more interesting and beautiful. The main idea is to ommit the bas line on the left and play the arpeggio with both hands at one octave of separation as much as possible withing the song structure. Cheers!
You absolutely right 🌹 thank you ♥️
Thanks boss! And you ar very welcome too. I cannot wait for the next one! So you keep the excellent work that you are doing and a huge hello to the people in France. God bless you all.@@PianoFreak1
