- I can't describe how much fun I had with this. whether it was cutting out the pieces or changing out the pieces to make new looks (okay mostly that part) this was so much fun. and I'd be excited to try it for original characters. So a secret my grandmother taught me was to always carry a shawl or scarf of some sort with you when you wear a nice light-colored skirt or pants so that you have something to put down before you sit.

As another chronically ill person I definitely feel you with wearing comfy clothing and then not really feeling great about it.
I have to remind myself that even if I’m not leaving the house, or even feeling well, I should wear things that make me feel good about myself
Absolutely! I think we forget clothes are about the person wearing them. They have power to make us feel strong and confident. For some people thats pajamas, for some its a little more structured. We shouldn't have to fit into a box. Wear what makes you feel great that day!

@@shanzaekhan5112 it means an illness that doesnt necessarily have a cure, so the person has to live with it and manage it the best they can. I highly recommend jessica kelgren fozard - she does tons of awesome videos on the topic!

You should make a character with all their outfits, kinda like the sims! Everyday, pajamas, formal, workout, ect. I've been playing the sims recently so I think you would enjoy it but in art form :)

For the shirt that has the ugly pattern you should try dying it black so then you get the shape but it’ll look neat
That or even tye dye or reverse tye dye or bleach lol. I do that to most of my thrifted clothes and it just makes it a little more "me" and I love them more lol
Or lay it on new fabric and copy the shapes of the pieces to make a new one in a different color
She just needs to make a pattern out of it and sew new shirts

Big feels right there. My mom was an art major and is a graphic artist today. Every now and then I pick up a pencil, but gosh it can be discouraging sometimes. I guess the thing is like having all these ideas in you head and not having a way to get them out onto paper. That's the biggest frustration. But seeing this video really makes me want to draw more. I love the whole paper doll wardrobe concept. It's so pretty and chic! The process of drawing and coloring has always been so enticing. It's kind of this place to let you imagination run wild. I've always liked that.
Rin, I'm really glad you're sticking with the whole CZcams gig even though it probably isn't easy. I'm going through a lot of health problems right now, and your videos always brighten my week.

I had a capsule wardrobe with 28 pieces I lived out of for a year (with seasonal swaps) and it was SO freeing!! I did keep a lot of clothes just in case I wanted to swap them in, but donating a lot of them made me feel so so so good

I just made my own. I didn’t know where to get actual ones from. I made some bears out of cardboard and made cute outfits for them. I also remember making a bed from a Girl Scout cookie box.

Shade of the colour can change, sure. Light and dark purple exist, however they are all the hue Purple. So it's appropriate, when discussing the colour in a broader term, to just refer to the it as purple, light or not.

You should try doing this with a bunch of different styles you wouldn't normally try, like skater style, soft girl, etc. 💙😊

In Spring I go through all my clothes (bringing summer clothes in and putting winter clothes away) and get rid of a lot of things usually. Then the same in autumn. It helps keep everything manageable.

Official Pisces i can’t say for sure exactly what rin meant but relapsing could also mean falling back into a illness after getting better, or getting worst from a chronic ongoing disease ( like mines) .

Official Pisces a lot of chronic illness especially auto immune diseases can go through periods of remission were your disease is well controlled but often medicine fails after awhile of being on a treatment and you go through a period of flares and your disease & stuff reactivating and it’s no fun

My father has SEVERE Chrones disease so I kind of offhand know what you go through with having an autoimmune disease, but I'm curious what it is you actual deal with. I hope you've been getting better and I really really hope another relapse is not in the books for you. Ily, Rin! Thank you for making my life just a little bit easier and a whole lot happier🤟

yes, i was wondering the same thing too. no matter how she meant is, i’m glad she opened up a little bit and shared something personal with us. she could mean whatever, her physical health, drugs, food issues, depression, etc. as someone who struggles with an autoimmune disease and depression, i think i can speak for all of struggling with internal/external hardships that it means a lot when someone we look up to talks about their struggles!

This looks so fun I remember having a designer kit when I was younger where I could color and style all the outfits to my model. It came in purple glitter case with four markers and stickers and Iii NOSTALGIA✨
The great thing about bring arty is being able to test out new clothes "on paper" with everything else you own without having to try on everything you own 😆👍.
I had no clue what a capsule wardrobe was so had to Google. Apparently it can be as few as ten and as many as 50 pieces (rules seem to vary depending on the site soooo 🤷♀️, but that they just have to kinda all work together? Not gonna lie, it sounded kinda boring to me, and at first I thought you were gonna stop with just 3 tops, 3 skirts and 3 pants and i was like "hell no, you'll be washing clothes every few days and get so bored of wearing the same thing over and over". But then I like my graphic T's too much 🤷♀️ lol. Also, that denim jacket would probably go with all the things even when it doesn't look it on paper (I thought double denim was back in fashion...but maybe it went out again? I never really follow fashion just throw on what I like lol), but that's me, I love a nice denim jacket lol. The real winner was the strippy top, but I agree about adding in some pink items.
I wondered if that site had mixed up/combined the 333 project with capsule wardrobes, because it was my understanding that the 333 project (wearing just 33 items for 3 months - you can replace if they fall apart or no longer fit...if that includes underwear I'd be sunk lol) was more aimed at minimising your wardrobe? IDK, I'm just going off my quick Google.
Oh, as for the dress you love the style of but hate the pattern...could you dye it all one colour? My brain went "tie-dye" 😆 but if it's already patterned that won't work 🤦♀️.

i'm sorry if I make you feel that way. i struggled a lot in my teens with comparison. It would drive me to tears. If you feel yourself going down that road the only thing I can suggest is what worked from me: take a break from looking at other people's art. turn off the internet. and just learn to fall in love with art again. it can be hard, but once you remember and truly commit to memory why you love drawing. comparison isn't so painful. 💜💜💜 i'm rooting for you!

I have never heard of capsule wardrobes until watching this video, but now I'm ready to go through my whole closet haha! Making the doll outfits looks like so much fun, I think I'm gonna try it for myself! I remember I used to design clothes for my Barbies when I was a kid; so fun!

I absolutely love this and I really want to make my own paper dolls! I think instead of doing everything coordinated though, I'd like to make my dream clothing items and just go crazy.
