- On today's episode of restorations with Vick, he will be bringing back these Nike Air Jordan White Cement IVs. The Air Jordan 4 debuted in 1989 by building on the Air Jordan 3’s ability to seamlessly blend on-court performance with off-court fashion. Straps framed the eyelets, which provided function for ballers seeking extra support - or resembled wings on the side of the shoe when loosely laced. Michael Jordan’s footwear reached new heights when the “Fire Red” Jordan 4 was featured in Spike Lee’s classic Do the Right Thing.What are your thoughts on this shoe? To start off this restoration, Vick begins cleaning the entire shoe with Reshoevn8r's 3-Brush sneaker laundry system. Vick then put the sneakers into the laundry machine using Reshoevn8r's Sneaker Laundry Detergent. Getting the results he wants, he then moves onto removing the yellowing on the sole using his indoor setup. Moving onto the next step Vick repaints the midsoles. Man I get that shoes are meant to be worn but I have never owned a pair of Js that 5+ years later didnt still have that crisp new look to em. Makes me sad that people just trash their kicks like that.

@@RESHOEVN8R me personally, I wear my shoes but I do so with respect. I have an all white pair of Js that I have even ventured out to clubs in and gotten intoxicated and danced in that are almost as clean and crisp as the day I got them 5 years ago. I clean and treat my kicks all the time.

Currently restoring a pair myself, had to take a break because the color matching on the Grey's was driving me crazy. I'll give this combo a try
I'm amazed how ppl get their shoes so dirty and damaged(esp. Jordans) None of my shoes (including older ones) don't look trashed. Anyway, Vick does amazing restorations and customs!!!
You'd be surprised at how many people complete beat their shoes.
I stood in line 8 hours overnight for these when they dropped. Still have mine but I will say it's up there with obsidians/playoff 12s as the most difficult Jordan to keep clean. Still classics though

Can i use just regular paint to paint sum shoes or do i need special typa paint?
My bred 4s midsole paint is comin off and i wanna paint them
Don't use regular paint it won't adhere to the midsole correctly. I suggest: 1. Buy Angelus Flat Black Paint, and Angelus Flat White Paint
2. Buy an Angular Brush
3. Buy Masking Tape
4. Buy Krylon Matte Finish (Clear)
5. Buy a heat gun
6. Mask off the areas you don't want to get paint on
7. Use Leather Preparer and Deglazer to prep your midsoles for painting
8. Lay down a coat of white paint a few times, drying with the heat gun after each coat.
9. Tape off the white area of the midsole, and then lay several black coats, drying after each coat with a heat gun
10. Apply Krylon Matte finisher after shaking it vigorously for 2 minutes. Several light coats. Wait a few hours for it to dry. Wait 24 more hours, and they then are ready for wear

you could also use that thin pin stripeing tape that u can turn and make circles or whatever u want it would work perfect on that top lil ledge of the uppers n u can shape the tape however u want turn however u want

Omg…. U don’t need all those colors. U can make it with just light grey, bone, and white. Use white to make it a lil lighter than the grey on the shoe (will dry darker) and add bone till u get the right tone.

Never dry the shoes in the dryer! You risk separation, and most importantly, it will shrink the materials
