What's the odds of me getting better and then just going to make a couple of bucks in front of the state house or something mobile? extra money on the side. man gots to eat and this world dont make it any easier!!!! Sorry to answer so late, and I hoped it worked out for you. One thing lots of guys don't know that believe they are shining shoes, theres a difference between a clean shoe, and a shined shoe. Good Luck out there.
Mike: I tried your trick of applying polish first and then using leather conditioner, both of which I apply with my fingers. The first boot then dries while I do the same thing with the second boot (I wear Western-style boots). I then dry brush the first boot and brush over it lightly four or five times, then apply a thin coat of polish with my fingers and let it dry while I do the same with the second boot. I then spray water onto the brush and brush the first boot seven or eight times, and apply another coat with my fingers. I then buff with an old pantyhose and apply neutral polish with my fingers, set aside to dry, and repeat the process with the second boot. I then give the first boot a go-over with a brush sprayed with water and buff with the pantyhose to a mirror finish. I repeat the process with the second boot, and I am done. P. S., I served with the 82nd Airborne Division Band, and this method will pass any inspection. Since that time, nothing else satisfies me. Except for one pair of brown boots, my boots are black. I also do this with my Corcoran jump boots, which I use for American Legion events. Either color, this works. Thank you for the hint.

I have a pair of walnut Allen Edmond Strands that a couple of drops of cooking oil fell on the toe of the shoe and left a couple of oil stains....do you have an answer on how to remove those stains? Thanks and Happy Holidays
