TLDW: Very impressed overall, some wonkiness with the software mostly relating to the lighting controls, but as a mouse it's rock solid all around.

Very informative review, exceeds the non existent manual. I purchased the combo K596 Vishnu + M686 Vampire Elite (combo) wireless early December 2020 for $88 new from amazon. I have been very pleased with wireless option; I became tired to the corsair K70+Nightsword requiring a dual long usb cable draping across my floor. My large dog kept walking through the usb cables, yanking them out of my gaming pc.

I had a logitec blu-tooth mouse that had all the same problems you mentioned. I ordered the M686 from Amazon and it arrived in 1 day via USPS standard free shipping. It is outstanding so far. I love it.

I just got the mouse today and it has no gone very well for me so far lol. I have downloaded the software and followed the instructions my RGB does not work at all man.. Only the light in the scroll wheel lights up.. I assume it is fully charged let it charge about an hour the the light on the scroll wheel stopped flashing.. Anyway any ideas man.. Also when trying to use it wireless it will only work on eco mode it will not work wireless when I move the power option to "on" mode. sigh

Hello again! So I recently got the mouse that I ordered, and I didn’t know that it was a Redragon m801 sniper. I thought I got the vampire elite but I guess I didn’t. The sniper is still a great mouse and it fits my hand perfectly! I have one question though, how do I make my scroll button change colors?

Should I go for the wireless griffin elite or this vampire one, I might upgrade to a mechanical keyboard(I think I'm set on the mitra but I still have time to decide)and a better mouse and I'm looking at these 2

May I ask a queation on behalf of my son please. Does this mouse have "drag click" functionality?
I'm assuming this is a Minecraft-related question? I'm not a minecrafter myself, however I believe their best mouse for this *was* the M711 Cobra, but it no longer supports that because they have implemented debounce, which forces a delay between clicks specifically to prevent drag clicking and as far as I can tell there's no way to change it. If you can find an older one it might be able, but the newer ones not so much. There are some tutorials on how to get around that, but I just can't say specifically. Good luck.

I got this vampire elite by 2 days already and almost going back to my griffin... What the heck I cant configure the side buttons as " mouse 4,5, and 6 " like on griffin ? That`s why they are for, to have additional buttons in games... + I can unselect the DPI variants, to have just one working.
Griffin in Guild Wars 2? Damn. I was looking to buy this mouse because I want to bind 2 side keys to flying controls. Thanks for calling out that you have had challenges doing this.

I guess it’s lighting just for logo if you put it in eco mode and only the logo is lit up. Loop hole maybe 🤷🏻♂️
It can agree it is a solid review of the mouse as how I am experiencing it for the first timw today. I am just bugged at the "programmability" of the 3 side buttons. Trying to configure for CoD or probably any FPS game the middle textured button and front/forward side button could be allocated to "forward" and "back" respectively. That allows for changing it in the game controll scheme, but the rear button (6 as per software) I cannot get to be programmable in the game menus. Also the wireless usb receiver being plugged in the bottom (magnetically?) gets dragged around my counter top and I hope that does not impact the lifetime of the mouse.

@@gameswithtroyYT Other than the issues stated as per my previous review I must admit the mouse is GREAT. The charge holds very long and the durability and dpi feedback is insane. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a more budget friendly upgrade

I know this is 2 years old but. Were u able to figure out how to make the. 3 side buttons programmable in game?
@@DJxJE55E Hi there, in what game specifically? As I mentioned I can programme most games to be able to use 2 of the 3 side buttoms. One of the buttons either the does nothing or is allocated the same as the other 2. eg. Button 4 would be reload, 5 would be grenade and then 6 would either also be grenade or just not register when clicked

my hands are MASSIVE would this be a good mouse for me?
yes. I have wide hands esspecialy at the nuckle, and most mice are just too small, causing my little finger to drop off the side and cause serious cramping. While I would prefer the little finger ridge to be higher so my hand lays flatter, this is the best one Ive found so far that gives the most support and comfort.
Is the mouse heavy?
No, to me it feels about the same weight as the Griffin.

I'm not a huge RGB fan. the RGB is meaningless to me. what concerns me is the connectivity. charging. and if you need to replace the battery. is standard either AA or triple-A reachable batteries. or is it a custom size battery?
I just refuse to pay 90-100$ for a Logitech mouse.
Does this work with laptop?
It should. I didn't test it, but it's USB so it should be universal.

On the redragon website you can download software for this mouse and set it to 1 colour

dude ur buying a cheap mouse and u want the rgb like u want... if u want cheap then dont expect an rgb fully custom... the mouse works excelent and has a lot of tunning
