- If you're getting married you're probably wondering if you really need EVERY single video clip your wedding filmmaker captures. Is it something you'll really value long term? If you're a videographer, you've likely wondered if it's something you should even offer. We cover both here because our opinion on the matter changed drastically.

If you're married or engaged, did you invest in RAW footage? Filmmakers, do you offer RAW footage to your clients? Talk to us!
I still cry when I watch Winston and Rose Love Story. The memories that the old pictures bring is incredible! Thank you KEJ for stepping out of the box, and use your creativity to incorporate the “RAW footage” in our love story.❤️❤️❤️
Forestry Films hooked us up with our raw footage, it's been a blessing as it's a huge asset as we look at crafting stories about our family and the journey we've taken. Love having it!
I love this concept. Thanks.
Wow. Yes!!! I agree 100%. I've been doing something very similar to this for awhile... kinda stringing together the best raw moments from each segment of the day. My clients love it! But your story is expanding my view on this SO much. I'm really gonna think about this more while I shoot too. This is gollllld
thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Watching this video makes me want to get the raw footage when I get married.
Love both of your positive vibe, you Both are beautiful and these are These truly changed my perspective how I can best serve my client.
Thank you beautiful people!
Aw, thank you for watching Andrie!! 🙏🏾
Such a touching story of you guys keeping memories alive. Right now I am doing the same with the footage from old tapes of my parents from 30 years ago. Will be a gift for christmas 😀
Thank you for this super kind compliment and thank you for watching! Your gift sounds absolutely EPIC and we can't wait to see how they respond to it. We know it will be an incredible heirloom not only for them but your whole family!
Love this!! I'm just getting started with videography and adding that to my photography business. Thanks so much for sharing this perspective! I likened RAW video footage to giving clients RAW photos, but it's clearly an entirely different thing. I'll be doing this from here on out as well!
I love this idea of legacy footage, footage just to watch all the small moments, not for re-editing. I've been trying t o figure out how to package my Raw Footage delivery myself. I'm curious though, how is the footage organized? For instance, if you shoot the day with multiple cameras, do you put the first camera's footage first then the second camera's? Or do you put all of the ceremony footage together from both cameras and so on? And what if you go through multiple cards per camera? Is the final file one ten hour file, or do you break it up at all? (Sorry for the run on question)
Thank you so much for making this video. Very insightful and has definitely influenced how I look at offering RAW footage as either a legacy edit or raw timeline.
Thank you for watching! We're so glad it could be helpful.
Literally just sent out a mass email to 37 clients for raw footage who didn’t purchase in the last year. So glad I stayed extremely organize and created a triple backup system just in case.
headache setting up
But very, and when I say very I mean... VARY Helpful. I literally can align on both you guys perspective towards saving rough footage. But there was always something in the back of my head that would always tell me just to keep it organized and stored for some random thing that could possibly happen.
“Pandemic“
Enough said. Thank you for the enlightenment guys.
YES!!! It's a huge task for sure but an incredible way to serve your clients. We're stoked to see the stories that come out of it - it's a guarantee you'll hear some. Thanks for watching!
I uust adore your work :)
Thank you Africa!
I totally agree, and love this video. Thank you for the share. I would purchase a drive for clients, and record all of there content, and edits to it. They all want "the link". Mailing them the drive after became the way to go. Pro tips from KEJ ❤️it, and your footage.
Thank you so much Matt!
