    OK just a suggestion now that you have done that remove the air filters from the - under the hood remove the plastic bottom panel you will see a well look for water markings if you C water markings reached down to the bottom for a rubber grommet if there is a rubber grommet pull it up take it out water is getting in there and shorting out the systems if you pull the rubber grommet out then if water gets in there it just drains down-and-out from under the car

    hey mate, thank you for the video and your channel!
    I am from cologne, germany and I have an issue with my CCC as well. Its a little bit different though, but maybe someone in the community has an idea what to do.
    So here is the problem. The navigationsystem in my CCC doesn't start up. And I do mean ONLY the navigationsystem. The iDrive (I think it's called that way) works perfectly, I can navigate through the whole software except the maps navigationsystem. Someone told us that the whole DVD-drive of the CCC is broke, so we exchanged it for another unit, but it's still the same issue (we only exchange the DVD-drive not the whole boardcomputer). So my guess is it's a softwareproblem. So I bought a new (original) BMW Navigation DVD Road Map Europe PROFESSIONAL 2019, but my CCC does not read the disc. It does not say there is a disc in the drive at all (we tried it with both DVD-Drives) so again I think the problem is within the software. Does anybody have any suggestions of how to do a firmware update of the CCC or any other ideas of how to fix the problem. The next BMW partner here wants 1800 € for the update and this is just ridiculous for putting some software on a boardcomputer...
    Thank you for any ideas and tips in advance - appreciate it!
    Keep up the good work!

    @ulfwaern Před 2 lety

    Hi, graet video. I have done the swap on my wifes e91-06 with a great spec including Nav-pro except the audio (wonder why). After the swap all worked except the audio. The donator car was a -08 M3 with individual audio an updated CCC with the buttons. Wifes car has only standard-audio. Though I did not succeed to access the new ccc with NCS E I decided to let a workshop do the job. The vehicle order om the M3 diff pretty much from wifes car meaning the CCC included several modules not present in our car. The workshop succeeded to get the vehicle order fixed so now the CCC is back to stock, but the audio is still not working. I explained the issue as far as I could to the serviceman. He told that they only reprogrammed and updated the whole car to latest fw. The audio issue did he not have a clue about except suggest to buy a new ccc from BMW, huh! I suppose my issue is that simple that the power amp onboard the CCC is set "nicht active"? Though I still got the issue to not get the CAPPL ECU working with the NCS E, get fault codes and the reading is aborted. How did you solve the similar problem you had with the car in the video?

    Someone posted a video that shows that the faceplate for the e90 CCC unit may actually be the culprit. When he swapped the faceplate from a used unit with the unit causing issues it worked. Someone else then figured out that a chip on the faceplate board needs to be resoldered. So basically no replacement necessary. Just soldering.

    Question: Do you happen to know if you need the CCC unit to work in order to replace it with the Android 10 units? I have the same unit in my E90 as this coupe in the video, but mine doesn't even turn on at all. In fact, the HU would stay on even after powering the car off, which made me have to remove the fuse. If I buy an Android unit I would like it to work with the knob (which is just spinning as of now) and the CD reader (but that might not happen unless I replace the CCC)??? I'm worried that if I buy the Android unit, plug it in, it still won't work because of the CCC unit being completely dead. Thanks in advance.

      Yes, unfortunately if your vehicle has a CCC unit, you need that unit working in order for the android to work. The androids just plug in to the aux in on the CCC and really just work as a dummy display over the top of the CCC. If you have any other questions just let us know.

      It is more than likely the CCC, especially if it does what this does at the start of the video. If you can your hands on a second hand one to try, i think that is the cheapest option. If the problem turns out to be something else you can always sell the replacement and get your money back.

      No not difficult at all. We just read the vehicle order using NCS expert then re-wrote the same vehicle order to all the modules, that re-configured the CCC unit and it was just a matter of powering down the CCC then turning back on and everything worked perfectly.

Will I still be able to drive the car without the unit? I need to for work. Also how much would it cost to just buy a unit and replace the CCC.

    Hey Zero to 60!
    FINALLY!!!
    Been searching for a video like this for the longest time haha
    I have a similar issue. When I power on my ignition, my screen flashes white for a second than off. Maybe 10 minutes flys by and it happens again. Goes on as long as the car is on.
    No sound. No functionality in any buttons. Tried the hard reset with the 3 buttons, and still nothing. Tried the hard reset with the battery. Nothing.
    Got a quote from a BMW workshop of roughly $3000 for a new CCC headunit haha
    Just wondering if you'd know of anything that may be the underlying issue or if this would solve my problem.
    Thanks again guys

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  Před 4 lety +2

      Its nearly always the main CCC unit itself that causes this. The cheapest way to fix it is with a second hand unit. You just need to get one that has come from a car with same screen as your car. All the other options (like stereo setup) are configurable. But even with out the audio side configured you can plug the replacement unit it and make sure it powers up and check menus etc.
      There were companies repairing these, but the repairs dont seem to last like a brand new unit, so for the cost we think a second hand unit is the way to go.

      @@ZeroTo60Tube
      Yup, I don't doubt you. It must be the CCC unit.
      Speaking of second hand units, would going to a pick & part or such, benefit me in anyway? Or are there specific websites I could visit instead ... am from New Zealand :)
      I'll definitely make sure to match the units making sure it fits and is suitable for my car.
      Thanks

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  Před 4 lety +2

      @@Bruce_T I would try a pick a part for sure. Or even eBay for second hand ones. To confirm basically any E90, E92 or E93 unit will work as long as the vehicle its coming from has the screen as your car. If you can match the stereo/amp setup to your car, you shouldn't need to do any coding.
