Let’s all agree that we would pay for more videos from this genius
For real!! As soon as I can I’ll join his Patreon

Absolutely 100% could watch him all day
I'm going to join my own patron even though ill be charged a processing fee to get my money back because

@@phytosexual oh my 😭😭😭
I truly enjoy your witty and funny presentation. You had me laughing out loud several times.
Thanks for confirming that it’s ok to lose your love for some of your plants…
It's ok for other people who overly personify their plants to ridicule you, they're crazy.
@@phytosexual thanks, Nick! I’m looking forward to your next clip. Be well!
"These figs are currently on a cross country road trip to see the worlds largest rubber band ball."😁😂😅🌿. I don't know where you come up with this stuff, but I'm so glad you do! You make me laugh so much, and I appreciate your extensive knowledge!
I really appreciated that he took the time to make a visual representation of the fig road trip. Committed to the bit.
It's funny how you said the Thanksgiving cactus only blooms for like a week. Mine blooms randomly and gives me a hit of dopamine each time. I also got it from my neighbors trash after they moved, so that helps.
Trash plants are the best plants!
Please don't delete your unboxing vids - I love them 😆
You laughing with me or at me?
It’s mind-boggling that you don’t have more subs. Your content is gold! 💛
Honesty isn't that marketable unfortunately. But I am subscribed because I enjoy the lack of hype and of course the sarcasm
DEFINITELY!
Right! I’ve felt like that for so long now!
He will soon 46.1k subs channels were recommended to me and now they are 100-500k subs now so his channel is definitely growing silently rn.
oh and i just discovered his channel this month.
"Brasil nut tree growing in your closet" really got me. I "curated" my plants this year, and am happier for it. Congrats on the sponsor 🍂💗
Can’t believe my luck. It’s my day off, I’m doing plant chores today, I’m high as fuck, AND there’s a new video from Nick Alexander. Finally something good is happening in 2022
Thank you for saving me from another logees purchase. Soccer ball sized blooms seemed intriguing to me but watching another Hoya suffer in my care isn’t something I can handle. Your videos are the best.
Don't do it.
I disagree with your stance on Schlumbergera, but respect your points. I personally love how they flower during the darkest days of the year, give buds to look forward to a grand finale and are super easy to grow. Also one of the most freely/reliable flowering cacti and they stay quite compact compared to rhipsalis for example, which often bruise easily, are more finicky to flower and have flowers that are nowhere near as big or colorful.
*bruise easily*
exactly what are you doing with your rhipsalis?

I loved your little isopod😍
Our whole family adores your videos. The flat delivery of your particular sense of humor is awesome.
Thank you. I have no idea where it is now but hopefully it crawled out and went on adventures with the rest of the bugs.
@@phytosexual best thing I learned about bugs and plants, is bugs literally can't eat healthy plants.
Lowered my stress levels tremendously!
You’re my favorite plant content creator and am always thrilled when you drop a new video
Same to you.
Love your sarcasm. Poland is great. There are so many castles, the carpathian mountains in the south, hot springs, nice budget accommodation and the best cheesecake.
I was just poking fun at the eastern Europe trope.
Congrats on your first sponsor!!! Love your content and I’m glad to see it opening new doors for you 😊
Well deserved….
i had dozens of plants and all were gorgeous but then i had to leave my house because of the war for 8 months and half of them died and i will now be living vicariously through your videos.
Ohh im so sorry, wish you peace and safety

I just found your content a few weeks ago and now am on a run of watching it all. Your vibe is iconic, it literally gives me more life than my P. Pink Lady probably ever had.
THANK YOU!
I don't think it takes much to outdo a pink princess.
Wow! you’ve really sold me on Babbel. I’ll be sure to try it out. Thanks! :)

He blesses me with the most useless things. Can I just get a rebate for a free lip balm sample?
Another great video !! Good thing that little bug didn’t end up in your hair when you were demonstrating how to view the pattern on the mosaica leaves !! De cluttering is almost therapeutic and someone somewhere is going to be thrilled to have your castaways ☺️
I always have a hard time choosing which plants to get rid of... Gotta make room for the new interests somehow though. You have an interesting sense of humor that I appreciate. ✌🏽
"Interesting"
lol thank you
thank you for your videos!! when I want to choke out my coworkers I put one on and your humor literally saves my day. it doesn't even matter if I've seen the video before, it works. I am incredibly entertained and you teach me stuff sometimes too 🥳 also I wish I could have your voice narrating my life lol
omg omg omg that would be terrifying imo
@@phytosexual LOL 🤣🤣🤣
Nick, I truly enjoy your plant humor. Thank you for sharing 🍃
Thank you, I love to excite peoples neurons in a humorous way.

This guy is a comedic genius...so...so funny! I just wish he uploaded more often.
EXACTLY…
I'll try to duplicate myself
Which propagation method works best for that? 😏
Not me, in my cold, drafty house, feeling personally attacked by your take on growing warm weather plants in the wrong conditions. It's okay, I needed to hear it.
You are BY FAR the funniest plant content creator on all of the platforms. 😂😂😂
Appreciate that :)
“The soil is wet” is going to be the best thing that I experience all day. You are ridiculous and I appreciate it so much
It waaaas
Congrats on the Babbel sponsorship!
Oh my goodness! I need to remind myself not to drink ANYTHING (hot coffee) while watching. The drink goes up my nose as I snortle/laugh
I get this a lot.
Your channel is really different from the others. Congrats on your first sponsor!
different
hmmmmmmm
I just found your channel. I'm so thrilled right now. PlantTube has been devoid of genuine humor. There's some very knowledgeable and charming channels, but no one that seamlessly blends info and laughs like you. Thank you for the fresh air 😃
Thank you!
Loved this video and I love how honest and self aware you are, it’s important to be in gardening as much as it is in life in general. As you mature in gardening you learn , at least for me to not rush into the rare plant hype. Their prices WILL come down. Also rarity is so subjective, cause the Polynera although now common where you are, is still rare here in Nigeria.
"despite my best scissoring" and "i don't know where it's coming from, but it just keeps coming" absolutely killed me as a combo
I’m so happy to see you again!! 😁🪴💞
Your sense of humor always kills me. Thank you for another gem ❤️
I have a few terrariums for the insects I keep, and I feel pretty good whenever I can move a plant in them to save space. Currently I have pothos, wandering jew, english ivy, Ficus pumila, Pilea depressa, baby tears and some species of Cryptanthus in there (which is currently blooming, so soon I'll have a few more). I am basically treating them like a botanical garden.
Yes! Some of my ficus hate the lighting in my home. I thought it was a watering issue since it was next to a west facing window. So I moved it outside under a shaded tree and now it is growing and stopped dropping leaves.
I love his delivery so so much
SOOOO MUCH….
In 2020, I bought 2 Monstera deliciosa "Aurea" - 1 rooted cutting with beautiful variegation, and the other was a well variegated node ... since then, NEITHER of them have produced ANY variegation! 🤬I got an unbeatable deal on them - $1000 for the pair 😭....NEVER again! This is what happens when I get a ..... well, this is a family friendly channel lol... Great video Nick, good to see you again 😊👍
I love my Ficus triangularis variegata! Yes she loves to drop her leaves but she did so well on my porch this summer. She came in for the winter today. I’m ready for the drop!
It’s interesting to see the purge .
The poly had me the most shook. But I’m also ‘eh’ with it. But it makes sense !
I’m cracking up because most of these you absolutely loved when you got them and I can totally relate!
Do you buy things knowing you're going to hate them. Interesting life approach.
Spat my drink out when you cut to the prison clip 😂 Your videos cheer me up when I'm surrounded by my plant collection that's beginning to languish in the harsh English Autumn..... xx
please cover your keyboard
Whilst we animals were still coming up with assorted rat things the ancestors of cacti adapted to the desert then moved into trees then adapted to living in wet conditions then some of them came back to the desert and adapted back to living in dry conditions. However somehow of all the things produced by that process people decided to cultivate something that blooms for five minutes and gets its name from a British man.
🤣 I d love to hear more about your blueberry bagle toaster fire.
it personal
Why are you not doing anymore videos? You are so funny and informative.

Thank you, it's a great app!
Thank you for your down to earth opinions about plants. I’d have to agree with most of your picks- the Hoya I’d chop and prop and make a basket- but I get it
I don't know if you missed it but I have another basket of that exact same Hoya :)
I LOL’d so hard at “Don’t buy plants just because you like other plants that they are related to”. Not me collecting ugly crusty-ass Hoyas
you might actually be my most favorite person on youtube at this point
Omg tysm I try with every ounce of my existence.
PLEASE!!! More content on CZcams. You're the best!
I will do my best.
I agree about the home market now.
I love your videos! So informative and sassy!
I will always serve up the sass.
I love and miss your vids, you are my favorite planty personality. I appreciate your humor.
If you haven't sen my latest video about coleus, it's up!
Nick is litearly the only youtuber i was happy to see a sponsor from! Love your videos and humor! Followed you for a year now!
I'm from Poland and although we have sth more than people growing hoyas and post soviet architecture, I enjoyed your video a lot :) Keep up the good work!
Love Poland.... way, way more there than post Soviet architecture.
We have also depressing weather, bad roads and a network of illegal home bimber distilleries
I know this is late but i was only kidding.
"despite my best scissoring, it just keeps coming"
Funnily enough, when being scissored, so do I...
The more you know
Good to know.
So enjoyed your honesty and great humor. I watched a many unboxing of very expensive plants, knowing for most people their climates would not grow such plants. Good lessons learned.
I live in the Philippines some of those fruit trees which I recognise aren't even grown in residential homes in the city, because they require a lot of land to grow lol
Right tho. Like does loges think we have super dome sized conservatories? I'm sure they're going to tell people to grow breadfruit in their homes soon.
@6:58 “The leaves are veiny…” that’s what she said. I’ll see myself out 😅
get out 👉🏻
To be fair there were so many of these moments in your video… but this where I first had the thought 😂
The mission impossible isopod sent me 😂😂😂 I actually breed designer roly polys as well as obsess over all my plants
The pilea thing is crazy to me because my mom got me one as a birthday present in 2019. It was just a random little grocery store plant labeled as a "friendship plant". I knew nothing about it and just thought it was cute. Now, the shop I work at keeps getting requests for them, but the supplier doesn't have any.
Meanwhile, I gave mine a "haircut" a few months ago and now have the original plant in a 7 inch pot, four more in 4 inch pots, a baby cutting in my propagation box, and 4 more baby plants in 2 inch pots. They're multiplying!
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎊🎈 On first sponsor!
The fact that you showed Ceropegia made me so happy. They’re my favorite genus of plants and I collect them. Finding non Woodii variants is tough though, so any love towards these crazy plants really makes me happy. I have to say though, my String of Hearts/Needles flower so much and so prolifically that I can’t keep them in my room anymore because they smell terrible to me even at a distance. Still love them, but at a distance for sure.
I just got a sandersonii!
I love your sarcastic wit and wry sense of humor !
I cannot believe you’re getting rid of the Musaica!!! I’ve never been able to grow a calathea that big 😢😢😢
I find calatheas hate clay pots, I use reverse osmosis water. I have some other calathea type plants that are more colorful that I like better.
nick you are actually the most helpful planttuber in yt,thanks so much for actually caring!
Thanks, i try!
your paradoxa looks like a superhero!! another excellent nickisode!! especially loved the social distancing protocol for spider mites..
Yaaasss first ever sponsorship!
❤🎉
Your dry humor is everything to me! Lol 💚
The dry wit remains unmatched 😍☺️
Glad to see I’m not the only one in 🚮mood 😅 Sometimes it’s just time to part ways 🤷🏾♀️
Congrats on the sponsorship! 🎉
I have a dozen or so different Schlumbergera cactus- Thanksgiving like the one shown, Christmas and Easter cactus as well. When my Thanksgivings start to bloom, they will produce for 1-3 weeks depending on the age/size of the plant. Many of my plants will then have a second round of blooms a few weeks later, although the second bloom only last average of 2 weeks. This is the species of plant that started my obsession and I still buy new ones every year when I spot a color flower I don't have. They can be a bit dramatic when thirsty but I love they provide bright blooms through the darkest months (Nov-March in the US).
Makes sense, im for of a foliage person so you can see how my perspective is different.
I love my Christmas/thanksgiving cactus!! it’s honestly one of the favorite plants I own just cus how healthy it is compared to some of my others lol
Yes, this! The one at my house blooms aggressively from sept/oct to about may. Definitely worth having, especially if you can find a sunny spot and aren't at a high latitude.
Agreed, I love all my Thanksgiving and Christmas cactuses (except for the Easter cactus. Effing diva). Treat them right and they’ll bloom for months.
To each their own, but rhipsalis has been equally as easy for me.
I can definitely relate to favoring a plant because it looks the most healthy lol. I am very biased towards whoever is doing well at my house. 😂
I’ve just discovered you and have been laughing out loud while learning how to care for my plants from inside the plants’ perspectives. Please post more frequently. I’ve watched all of your videos and can’t wait for more. (I will wait for more)
Just put out one yesterday :)
Should have called this video My Worst Enemy Hoya
haha stupid flat mites. I've taken care of them now!
Funny, entertaining…I truly enjoyed this video. Congratulations on your first sponsor!
Great thumbnail!
I love your humor. You’re so clever.
💚
Thanks!
My mom has a holiday/christmas/thanksgiving cactus she grew from a dropped branch on my neighbor's sidewalk, and while it has thrived for, like, 10 years, it just sprawls floppily, shooting out new leaves/branches but never looking particularly pretty XD
no lol, glad you like them, they're everywhere.
always love to see your posts pop up! Always top quality work
Thank you!
Congratulations on the sponsorship so happy for you!
Seriously love your channel nick, thanks for the content
Love your channel too
I thought I was the only person who doesn’t like horizontal pattern on sans. I immediately thought of my favorite, bantel’s, before you showed it 🎉
I thought you were talking about sans-serif typeface for a second lol. Bantel's sensation is the best.
I swear I just love your sense of humor! Love it!
Thank you DD
I don't know how I have just now come across your channel, but I'm so happy that I did. You are knowledgable and hilarious. I have been watching several of your videos a day, and I'll never stop. My new favorite 🤩
Well I don't make multiple videos a day so pace yourself.
I fucking love this channel. The information given combined with the dry humor is *chef’s kiss*
OMG I wrote that comment before the video finished 🤣⚰️💀
Hello Nick + all your plants, happy Saturday! 🎈
Thanks! You too!
Please keep posting videos!!!! I would listen to you talk about anything for hours 😭😭😭
I love your humor! Keep it up!
I want to try Babbel just because your sponsor spot is so original and unique just like all your videos. Love it.
Thank you, I really like it.
Your videos have me laughing out loud. I love your content. Always excited to see an upload! 😊
Me too.
Another awesome vid from Nick, great content, thanks for sharing!!!
A new video! AND YOU GOT A SPONSOR! IM SO PROUD!!! I’m so happy! I too have gotten rid of about 20 plants this year. Tradescantia nanouk, all of my peperomia, some common Hoya that wouldn’t grow for me, so commons I got just to get, that sort of thing. If I don’t adore the plant, I’m no longer getting it.
It’s frustrating when big chains carry large nursery farm plants and the nurseries don’t mark what the plant is so a buyer can at least research the care of it on their own.
yeah all these stupid "my name is houseplant"
Lol, I love this video! Congrats on your first sponsor too. You make your video's fun to watch. I'll be joining soon!💯❤️
❤ love your video I am the same way. I get obsessed with one type of plant buy as many as I can then start another obsession.
Glad I'm not the only one :p
When u laid out on the table under that plant I LOST IT!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I so can’t with you 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol I just tried to get a Jasmine vine to grow inside and it ended up looking just like your Hoya, shes now living a happy life on my moms porch.
Love your videos Nick. Your always bring a smile to my face. 😁
