Essentially this replaces the old FZ6R which I had for 3 years when I was on my restricted license. Perfect commuter for most and good tourer for the smaller riders. I've ridden the XSR700 and the T7 and power of this engine is on the slow side of being fast (which is great). It's one of those "what more do you need" bikes thats also a little special... This one looks better than the out going tracer and I like the R6 inspired looks with a nod to the R1 with those round beady eyes.

Hi, mr. Neeves! I am a big fan of your reviews, because you are going into details from a pro racer perspective, but still describe very well the touring capabilities of the bike you are reviewing and also the capabilities of what purpose is made for. I came off supersport bikes, because of lack of comfort on a long distances and now I am having a blast on my XSR900. I think is the best bike I ever owned regardless the fact that is far away from a high performance bike. There is one very negative side though. 3.6 gallon tank. That's only 90 miles range when pushed hard. So I am considering the new Tracer 900GT as a second bike for long distances. Would please make a review on it? And may be compare it's performance to MT09 or XSR900? Would be very happy to watch it and I am sure, many people will do. Thank you!!!!

What is the stand over on the bike like? Yamaha quote a slightly higher seat (840mm vs 835mm), and also claim better comfort which usually means less compression, more support. The UK FB group also has a picture of a new low seat option for this bike but no real details yet. This is key for me as I could manage the seat height on the previous model but not any of the bigger/heavier bikes of this type.

@@Alexander5R ohh man yea much different in the states. I got a 07 and if I ever upgraded probably be to a 09. But when I was buying there was a lightly used 2016 09 for the same price as my 19 07. Do I regret my choice no.. could I have had a quicker bike yes.. do I need a quicker bike probably not. Random things like that always go through your head. Hope u get what you want that's what really matters.

Price is wrong ... it's £7945 according to Yamaha UK website .... it is a basic bike but the price isn't very budget .... it's around £1300 more than the MT-07 it's based on. Compared to something like the new BMW F900R (£8,660) you're not getting a great deal with the Tracer 700 at full price and it's only a £600 difference ... the yam doesn't even have any electronics beyond very basic ABS. The new half fairing looks nice though :)

Great bike, i'm bit jealous that I'm stuck with the old one (just over a year old now) and that I missed out on the adjustable suspension because it's currently the only thing i'd love to have changed on mine.
New looks, TFT and whole setup is amazing.
Sound is garbage tho - it's like a moped on steroids.
Hopefully soon some Eur5 aftermarkets available. I put the IXIL Hyperlow dual on mine :D

£89 on PCP for what 3000 miles a year, stuff that my MT07 did 8000 miles in its first year. Is that cheap no, I've been quoted over £120 a month on PCP with 7000 miles. PCP is a rip of if it's your only transport.

Same problem with the riding position. The bars are high, wide and back ala adventure tourer, but the foot pegs are on rear sets tucked up and behind the rider's butt ala sports bike. Result aching arms and back on a long distance ride. I want to buy a Tracer so YAMAHA WAKE UP AND FIX IT.

These reviews are so boiler plate, every single one of you reviewers who go on these press trips ends up with the exact same "review", which are actually overviews and regurgitation of marketing drivel. Same camera shots, same stock footage, same everything.
