L.A. Live is an entertainment complex in the South Park District of Downtown Los Angeles, California. It is adjacent to the Crypto.com Arena and Los Angeles Convention Center.
With the adjoining LA Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena, LA Live will be part of the "Downtown Sports Park" cluster for the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games being held in Los Angeles. LA Live will host boxing events at Microsoft Theater.
It's great to see DTLA bouncing back post pandemic.

as a person who lived 3 blocks away from Live I can say that it would be GREAT if the Police had a foot traffic presence like they do in Manhattan so that certain elements dont get a foothold to ruin everyones fun. All the cops do is slowly cruise by and stare at people, it's intimidating rather than in New York where they interact with the public and are part of the community.

There is a concerted and ongoing effort by the right wing media to diminish California because it is a liberal bastion. While no denying that Los Angeles is beset with all kinds of serious social and economic issues it also happens to be one of the most optimistic cities on planet earth. Compared to the major cities on the East Coast, Los Angeles is in its infancy.
This is true. I’ve visited a bunch but mostly stayed in Venice and SM. I know some parts are real bad. But for the most part it’s not terrible like other cities. I was about to move there and my dad talked me out of it “your crazy. They’ll murder you. Shoot you!!” Put so much fear in me

I was in So. Cal between 1974 and 1977. Used hang on Broadway St downtown LA and Pacific stereo, Italian kitchen etc. Loved it. The new southpark area is nice and getting better. Bravo to LA
I enjoyed it, this is a dream city for me to live in.
I’ve been born and raised in La, sure it has its downfalls but I couldn’t be happier here. Go for your dreams man!

I've been just recently to DTLA from 7-15 through 7-20, I love LA so much, its way better than New York , and it had better weather.

This is in downtown LA which is surrounded by east LA and South LA, both of which have sizeable black and latino populations. If you go outside of downtown LA it changes up tho. Overall California is 39% latino, 35% white, 15% asian, and 4% black so it can change a lot depending on where you go throughout the state.
There are literally over a million illegal immigrants in Los Angeles.

While there is a homeless crisis in the city right now. There is still a lot of vibrancy. It’s just a hodgepodge of everything right now. Most angelenos are trying to do the right thing. We have our problems but the city is slowly trying to bounce back. The pandemic really hit is hard 😭 we were one of the most locked down cities in the country for sure.

Sure the liberal policies on homeless made it easy to be homeless in LA. But both sides have good arguments. At first I was frustrated as well, just wanting them to remove the homeless off the streets by force like most ppl think is a good idea. But is that really humane ? We have to make sure we can give these ppl help. LA was very conservative actually. Over policed for decades, redlining and other discriminatory practices, along with a housing crisis has pushed the most venerable on the streets. Coupled with the draw of homeless from around the country. The situation here is unique and has a lot of moving parts. We are finally building housing for very low income at a fast rate, but I feel we also need to build more shelters, mental and drug rehabilitation facilities. Democrats and republicans in LA are starting to see this urgency. I’m hopeful we will get it done. Can’t wait for the new major tho. The one we have now has been terrible 😣
