I should point out if it wasn't clear: SHATTERBEDO (ALBEDO + SHATTER REACTION) is not meta and isn't that great 😂, it's decent at best but very satisfying and fun to play with Wriothesley and also has no problems in Spiral Abyss if you have proper geared characters (my XQ is not levelled/geared properly and I'm using Shimenawa on Wriothesley which is not his best set). I like to prioritise enjoyment over meta/speed-clears so for me personally Wriothesley is a very fun character to play with!

@@renno2679Apparently he doesn't have a (good) Marechausse set for his Neuvillette either. And yes he 'rarely' C6 characters, the ones I can think of are Zhongli, Kazuha, Raiden, AlHaitham, Wanderer (idk about Neuvillette)

I'm not a CC but my assumption is that hyv makes concession for CCs' editors in terms of confidentiality/timing so that they have decent time to test the character while also allowing their videos to be edited. Because it's unlikely each CC with access to the characters gives their editors rush content

i hate when a first constellation changes almost completely a character, it feels like they (hoyoverse) are forcing you to pull for c1... nevertheless thank you for the simp review
I’m not a fan of constellations that change the playstyle either, but at least it is not at c6. C1 is still manageable
True, but it kinda makes his long term value worth it, kinda like Childe mains who get bored of C0 Childe but his C6 barely changed his gameplay, wish it was more of an extra thing like Yelan's C1 than a QoL fix to his kit

Using C6 Shenhe will be crazy for this guy since Shenhe will boost him with her unlimited icy quills (only through using normal or charged attacks).

@@thirstmuch9378 Don't think so, if you already have Ayaka and she's well built then cat boy is an easy skip especially with those horrendous 4 stars on his banner, save up for Furina boys the archons are always cracked and you can always get him when he reruns (with hopefully better 4 stars)
By the way, if Wriothesley goes under 60% HP when he's off his passive's cooldown, he's going to keep the buff even if you go over 60%, so it's not as restrictive as it sounds
The problem is his gracious rebuke cooldown which is 5 sec its way too long as you will be under 50% hp by the time you get it off its cooldown
As ridiculous as it sounded at first I think I have been convinced to give shatter Albedo a try, I love the pretty geo man but barely use him right now 😭 If the archons are on my side tonight and I win the 50/50 for Mr. Rizz I hereby promise I will additionally build a shatter Albedo and give the Wriosthesley - Albedo - Xingqiu - Yelan team a try 🙏
UPDATE: I JUST SECURED THE MANS AAAAHHHHH I lost my 50/50 to Mona yesterday and ran out of primos so I thought it was all over, then today I decided to start grinding for primos again and at 4 pity Mr. Rizz suddenly came home 😭🧡 Wriothesley & shatter Albedo gameplay let's freaking GOOOOOOOOO

i got him c0 and next time i'll try to get his c1 since i like him a lot and it seems strong
If u have marecheusse 4pc you will not need that much crit rate as it will be boosted by 36% when getting full stacks and if u are in a freeze team with 2 cryo users it will be boosted by 51% also wriothesley gets ascended with crit dmg so make sure u focus on crit dmg more than crit rate as you will have 36%-51% bonus
I really appreciate reviews like this! Short, simple, and mostly focused on fun, ease of use, and aimed at general players and not Abyss speed-running. The C0/C1 stuff is also what I was most interested in - thank you!

I lost my 50-50 in version 4.0, and I was saving for Furina and not gonna pulled for vs 4.1. Fricking hell after his trial, Wriosthesley is so fun to play with, there goes my guaranteed 5star as an f2p. Wish me luck for next vs for furina
Just save for furina rerun in 4.6, you'll have enough for maybe C2 assuming you lose one 50/50
Archons always rerun in .6 + you’ll have time to decide on if you want Furina. I can tell you that her kit is very underwhelming for an archon ( no spoilers🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻) she is like an over glorified mona.

@@potatothings7223funny they made a huge change on her overall kit and cons, she's now a good unit at c0 and now can be played on any teams outside Fontaine unit's, guess that's an underwhelming archon for you 😂😂
@@Bunnyyy22she's the 6th set of hunter, instead of crit rate, she buff you atk. But you need a healer cus she eat teammates hp. She heals but you don't use her for healing

I'd honestly pull for him if his C1 was incorporated into his base kit. I love his charged attacks but its hard to make use of them at C0. Also the concept of a cryo catalyst was so foreign to me and now that we have one, I really want him lol. But I probably won't enjoy him nearly as much if I can only CA once per year.
FR, I got back to Genshin after a while and even pre-farmed just for him but now we get f*cked by hoyoverse trying to milk their fanbase as always. Worst is they will always find an excuse on something that should've been in the first place.

Can you also do from now on showcase character with and without team comp. We like to see the raw power of the character without a team and see the other visual effect of its skill through passive or constellations. That would be really helpful.

only problem is that he's suspected to rerun around 4.3 and the next patch (4.4) is supposedly for xiao & shenhe who i also want and i'm f2p so i can only pick like MAXIMUM 2. and there's also the 50/50 to take into consideration...sigh.
I have guarenteed (with a good amount of wishes saved), I was planning on pulling for c1 hopefully c2 furina..but this video is really making me want to pull for wrio..(even if I just get him c0). I know his playstyle is not for everyone..but I personally love melee catalyst dps characters. (I also might give full em shatter albedo a try..💀😆😂)

I got his C1 but ngl, I'm kinda salty about it because I think it should've been part of his base kit.
C1 should have just been the 200 percent buff, but the aura after 5 normals should have been base kit

I also use Albedo with golden troupe set to pair up with Wriothesley 🤣. I just like that he provides shield to Wriothesley while giving off field damage lmao. I think Thoma is decent too because Wriothesley seems to have a good melt damage.

Save for Furina...in the long run he wont be that viable...Furina as a support is wayyy more universal in any scenario

I think out of all the characters writhosley is the only one in my 1070 days of playing that I could immediately level up every single thing to max and have an artifact set that I'm proud of. It only took all of my resin for 5 weeks as well as all of the original resin given to me over the previous 3 months...

Shatter happens when you hit frozen enemies with a Greatsword OR Geo dmg. Its not just an Albedo thing, its cause he’s geo.

I'd go for the new fontaine set, it's BiS and pretty good to farm because Golden Troupe is also gonna work on other characters. You can also put the mid artifacts from that domain into Blizzard strayer box.

I'd argue his C1 is more or less mandatory. Kinda like Hu Tao. You can play him without it... but it's a completely different experience.
Also his signature weapon isn't as good as it looks on paper, it's going to be far too easy to go above 100% crit on him by mistake. You're going to have a hard time getting artifacts with the right rolls. It's way harder to just get crit damage when you want to actively avoid crit chance. Adds one more dead roll to your substats.

C1 is no necessary if you don’t want it. His C1 changes his gameplay just a little but it is not required to make him a good character

C1 is undeniably a big improvement but c0 is still great

Got him after Neuvi with just 10 pulls, but I had almost 300 so I went for his C1 (110pulls and a nice Jean) and honestly love him, maybe I'm pulling for Furina even when I don't like her but her buffs will go well with my Neuvi and Wriot
I’m aiming to C6 him, only because he knocked out all my other favourites to be my number one. I’ll be happy with C3 though. I can only use my 81 fates today. Then when the year of saving ends November 1st I will aim to pull his cons.

Honestly I don't know why people are upset about his kit "completely" changing at C1. I have not played him so I can't say how I'll feel once he is on NA, but half the time people agree that constellations *should* change gameplay because it's adds something more substantial to a kit. When it's an early constellation instead of being considered good it's considered a bait for whales or something, as if game changing C6es aren't the same thing for higher investment. Seems no one can agree what makes a good constellation in the end.
The reason people are upset is because his C1 fixes issues with his base kit that don't need to exist instead of just providing a new gameplay option. Imagine if Wanderer was only able to do a certain amount of charged attacks regardless of his stamina level, and C1 removed that cap, and how annoying that gameplay would be.
If only furina its not coming after him, i would go for his c1
