I'm a jeep guy, and this is a great clean build. Absolutely love it
Excellent Jeeps, who cares what anyone thinks about your build. As a Jeep guy I am glad to see one that looks nice and not all cut up. I dig it.
Absolutely dig it !!!! And I am a jeep guy. I love the fact that you take the time to do it right an no half assery involved!!!!
Thanks for putting this video together 👍😊. I ran a 93 XJ for 26 years. Sold it 2019 and bought black 2001 XJ Classic like yours. Was in fantastic shape and then I put about 10 grand in new parts and labor to make it even better. Ran it to Maine from Florida. Then ran it to North Dakota. Love it bone stock 😊. Yours turned out Amazing 👍😊. Long live the XJ!
I like the look of your xj and hope it serves you well👍👌😀🇳🇿
Awesome build, great video I'm building a 98 Cherokee classic now
Good luck with your build, thanks for the comment and thanks for watching
This looks amazing! Great build!
Thanks, and thank you for watching!
I got a similar jeep here in Central California RWD, 4.0, 232k miles for $2000. Yours actually looks even cleaner. My paint needs a polish and 2 smallish dents repaired,
I love the head liner. That’s exactly what I’m wanting to do to my ZJ
It's fantastic! I've got a 2001 Cherokee Sport that's getting a new motor this weekend. This is good inspiration!
Looks Great! Who cares what other people think its your car you can do what you like.
I just got an XJ and I'm in New Zealand also an old school Mopar Guy that wanted something 4WD to play in but wanted to keep it in the family so to speak AMC/MoPar also own a 64 Valiant wagon and 68 Dart 2 Door (planned super stock 440 big block build) can you imagine picture a 64 wagon towing a Dart to the Drag strip just screams Kool eh!👍😎
Very nice headliner, the truck looks great, nice job.
Looking good Marty! Keep it moving down the track!!!!!
This is probably one of the cleanest and simple xj build. Great job fellas. Mine will look similar one day
Thank you very much, was our first time trying to CZcams, hopefully we’ll get better
Awesome man and good work. You don't have to apologize to anybody for anything... the Jeep "community" by large is friendly and to each their own, it's when you find yourself on FB or group pages that all these selftitled experts come from outta nowhere spewing their hate 😅 usually "shitbox" owners too!
One of my biggest complaints about the Jeep community is the lack of upgrading the braking system after having installed larger wheels and tires, or junkyard brakes being considered an "upgrade" it's the one thing I'd like to see change in the community as far as upgrades and modifying go.
I love the Smittybilt stuff myself.
Very nice XJ and love the wheelie wagon! 👍 totally reminds me of my HotWheels as a kid & Ratfink.
Just right! Subtle build. I like it!!
Thanks Jay appreciate your feedback
That front and rear ends are going to rub a lot more once the vehicle is loaded plus additional accessories. That headliner came out really nice 👍
My kit from skyjacker came with a "track bar relocation bracket" but I still ended up purchasing an adjustable track bar which is perfect for dialing the whole thing right in.
That think is bad ass! I love a budget build that is solid, looks awesome and works! Felt like I was watching me. I have 2 TJs - one budget and one expensive (LS swap and you name it). The budget drives like a dream and is bad ass. I learned one think about the rough country lift - cheap and works with just a little vibration in the rear. But way better if you ditch the pan drop and go with adjustable rears, SYE and a Tom Woods. (Invincible)
Nice xj sir 👍 inspiration to built mines.
Awesome XJ, trying to find one in that good of shape is tough these days for sure.
I absolutely love it only thing that got me was the switch on off direction lol up is on dwn is off guess that comes from my semi dash and how all mine work .... headliner is awesome... so all in all love the build
The headliner is one of a kind! It looks great!
Thanks
Looks great. I would daily drive it. 😎👍
A very clean simple build, well done.
Thank you, and thanks for watching
Looks nice. Sure would be more capable, in accordance with the tires and suspension, with a cheap lunchbox locker in the front. But real nice.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching
Very nice build sir, subbed!
Clean looking xj
Very nice work - excellent! Now i've got the bug to upgrade my stock '88 XJ! 😀
Thanks for the positive comment, was my first video I’m trying to get better, thanks for watching
Sweet build
Hey bud u did great it looks great 👍!!
headliner is awesome!
great job!..i like everything ..head liner..i had a red 1998 ..should have kept it..
That headliner is awesome
I’m about to do mine and I’m looking for ideas!
Nice Jeep !
Cool jeep
Great car, we have one :)
Rather than drilling a new mount hole for the track bar, I opted for the Rough Country sleeve adjustable track bar. This allows you to adjust the track bar without having to unbolt one end to adjust it. Nice build! Running 33 x 12's on my with 4.5" lift. God bless, stay well. Bumble Jeep was also too clean to cut.
Thanks for the comment and the information on the track bar
Very Nice
Excelente 👋👋👋
Ficou muito bom
Beautiful
Thank you
Very nice build, I have the Rough Country 4.5” lift. Works well. Did you regear your axles as well.
I have a 2000 Black Cherokee Sport ... 180 k on it .... rebuild from the ground up a few times .... my 89 went 18ys with 300K
Nice little "Wheelstander" you have there!... Your version of the Little Red Wagon huh?
Truck was set up like the
“Hemi Under Glass” Bob Riggle is who built the truck
Have you done anything on the steering rod? What extension did you used?
They sell over head switch plates for Cherokee xj on eBay around $20 bucks .
Donde compraste esa barra para las luces ?
4 1/2 inch rubicon express lift way smoother
Clean build but that stickers gotta go!
If you ever get rid of it let me know!!
Tires will still rub upon turning with any slightest bump involved
Yep, need to pick the front up a couple more inches!
Any chance you could share where you purchased it? Looking for one this clean
Bought it in Ohio but it came from North Carolina
Any rubbing issues? Do you trimming the fenders?
Yep, going to lift the front 2 more inches
Could you possibly drop a link for those wheels? I love them

Hope I done this right, not really very tech savvy… thanks for watching and for subscribing!
@@martyshotrodgarage Thanks for the quick response and awesome video.
Marty, if I came to your garage and danced for you while you and your friends laughed and pelted me with coins, could I have this truck ?
Headliners trash! what does glue naturally do in excessive heat?…melts!! That headliner will be sagging in no time! I just did mine only I went material-less, cleaned it all off good then spray it with two whole cans of flex seal, let dry then sprayed it with 2 cans of interior flexible paint in grey color! Looks amazing, feels great and is super cool in this rare early season heat😊 love love love your xj though man no hate all tips
Never thought of that before but that’s a great idea, thanks and thanks for watching!
Wanna sell it
I’m afraid I would never find another one this clean to replace it
When your parts cost more than the car…
Story of my life…
@@martyshotrodgarage mine too 😂 You did a nice job!
film it better g
