  • A long day in the US Navy as Assault Craft Unit One Sailors support Recon Marines as they fast rope from a helicopter onto a moving vessel in Coronado California. The Brown Side Navy refers to small boat and craft operations in support of Marines. Thank you for watching. #navy #military #marines

    This is so cool to see from a different view. I saw it happen from my ship

    Last night I watched your documentary before I fell asleep. It put me in a good mood reminded me of my past military life. Sent a link to my buddy, another combat vet. Keep making vids like this man!

    I was stationed at NASNI and that was a fabulous duty station. VS 41 Vikings. I was an AT 2. I loved San Diego back then before it got over loved.

    Man do I miss those days. I was in SBU back in the 80's. SPECWAR was the best duty ever. Wet, cold miserable, and a total blast.

      Merchant Marine sounds like a great gig. Tied up now but maybe later. The sea is a magical place.

    how do you get to do stuff like this ? Would I need to join VBSS ?

    • @BennyWinslow
      @BennyWinslow  Před rokem +2

      Yeah if you're attached to a ship, there's the VBSS team. You could do an Assault Craft Unit, or Riverines also. Search and rescue swimmer is a good way to get on the small boats as well. Ask and you shall receive Denny.

    • @BennyWinslow
      @BennyWinslow  Před rokem

      Not sure. I'd guess the pilot isn't messing around given the safety concerns with this training. Maybe though.

    I wanna go brown side but at the same time I really hate the navy because of my first command. Fuck ship life
