But it was finally time that I made a part two! yknow, because the joyful is the dlc to the painful,,,Anyways if you haven't played this game yet, do it! or watch a let's play. well, he doesn't have to die. If you don't have him in your party at the end of the game, does he really die or does he just go missing?

Rando is just a big guy feared by a lot of people but he is actually just a big guy with a big heart
kinda like asgore when you think about it
Even his type says "peace keeper" or something like Brads says "nobody" at the beginning then near the ending it chances to "failure" that is a nice detail if you ask me

1:23 this moment is so wholesome because it portrays them as two goofballs messing around. And then you think about how buddy murders everyone, death is everywhere and Rando dies and then it comes crumbling down
The fact you depicted Buddy's imagination here -> 1:11 where she sees herself on the top of The List with the word Armstrong below her, makes me believe that deep inside she still respects Brad enough to carry his last name.

@sREUDIAN fLIP Of course, Brad made some mistakes, for example killing his friends. I don't like his move towards his party in the end of the game either. But actually he hadn't the Messiah issue and knows about his some flaws, except Buddy. He didn't drop the help (except the ending in Painful), while Buddy did that so many times to Rando.
And you know, some people justify Rando, while he was some kind of Hitler in a game :P

I like how the Buddy here chooses all of the morally wrong options, until the very end.

it's more so that despite the morally wrongdoings of most individuals, buddy is one exception as she simply wanted to cause mass genocide - whether they were helping whatever's left of olathe or not

How it feels to survive monday
buddy's design is so appealing here, you managed to make her more likable than she normally is in the game
It’s probably the fact that she has more expression. She doesn’t really emote in the game

A little too likeable in fact, pretty sure in game she’s a ruthless psychopath
yah yeet And Buddy doesn’t?? If anything she probably has the most believable reason: that her world was simply always this fucked up. She doesn’t have any semblance of what society is like and what is moral and what isn’t beyond what Brad taught her.
@yah yeet Once again, because of her upbringing. Rando was basically in the same position that Brad was in, and that's the reason she treated him the same way she treated Brad. Not only that, but she was also already put on Joy by Buzzo and Yado, causing all these problems to exponentially get worse. Buddy is a product of her environment, with basically no choice in her life until the very end of JOYFUL.
I like how this animation depicts buddy with actually emotions instead of the numb expression buddy always has in the game
Part of it was the joy making her extremely unempathetic and aggressive.
To be fair, it's hard to make characters expressive when it's pixel art and they're wearing a mask

Just to confirm, were there two graves in the end? If so, it’s nice she had the decency to bury Buzzo. Sure he was a monster, but he was just another messed up guy scarred by Lisa’s death (and life in his case in particular)

Coming back for my obligatory rewatch early now that Undone is out.
Someone start a petition to have this guy make a movie trilogy of the Lisa storyline. A dark but also comedic adventure of pain, betrayel and revenge, but ultimately, sacrifice, redemption and forgiveness.
I mean, you managed to make Buddy so darn likeable in this. She shows a great deal of emotion, and her intentions look more like determination to take down the war lords, with a childish sense of wanting to rule everyrhing. And her eventually forgiving Brad for his actions, and giving humanity another chance seem more genuine, since she shows more emotion. You made her more than an emotionless killer like in the game.

Buddy was incredibly misguided as soon as she came into the world, this eventually would turn to resentment against those she thought had wronged her, which led to a refusal of the advice of anyone else who were even close to those she resented, which led to an overwhelming want to be the greatest.
Everyone is like “OOooOoH sO GoOD” because the animation or the “feelings roller coster”, when in reality the only masterpice in this video is buddy’s faces!

Man, you should play The Pointless and The Hopeful. They are very good LISA fangames, and i think you´ll like them as much as Painful/Joyful!
This. The Pointless is a masterpiece and the Hopeful is really, really good. I personally felt they were both superior in many ways to the original.

i finished the joyful last night, and god DAMN if this isn’t an incredible depiction of the story
All the suffering he went to. Also Rando was kind but to scared against buddy.
I only got to play LISA The Painful in its entirety, and could not bear The Joyful. I knew what fate awaited Bernard, I knew what two fates awaited Buddy, I knew what fate awaited Dusty. And, also, the sheer amount of horrible stuff I heard in the summary (too scared to actually watch the video, ha ha) made me absolutely horrified of what would be on the screen.
You managed to help me finally get a complete grasp on what happened, who's who, and- Dear Goodness, I can't remember what were Mutated!Brad's eyes like in the game (again, too scared to watch), but the way they're tilted upwards a bit, the way he looks so miserable-
And then Dusty visibly trying to calm Buddy down and help her, but also his face (if I'm not mistaken) on Yado's "throne"-
And Bernard waking up from a horrifying nightmare, and weeping before mutating-
This got me right in the feelsies.
1:36 this game scene brings my heart down, it was so unsettling
Watch closely and you'll see the mutant mountain of Yado actually turn into Dusty for a split second... Damn.

Am going to be honest never played any of the lisa games but the story itself just makes me depressed and never in my life has a games story itself made me cry and thats what makes the lisa games so special in my eyes.

the craziest and horifying rpg of all time...
The best RPG of all time. I'm not even kidding. In quite a few ways, I even find it better than the likes of something like Final Fantasy and such. It has such a great story, great humor, and yet a great dark atmosphere.
I had Undertale as my favorite rpg until I played Lisa. It's just incredible
