And if you have low cast speed, use lvl 1 unearth to open chests. It has low cast time and you can hold your button until the chests are popped. Channeling skills like storm bind has the lowest cast time but you gotta spam click/press.
Blight content can pop off later in the league once people start looking into vaal corruptions on amulets and need tainted oils for them. In affliction league tainted oil ended up being 7 divines each on softcore trade. Gold oil was pretty cheap so i was running 3x gold oil anoint to absolutely shower loot from these maps.
I had the same thought just yesterday and today - these gold oils are high price now, but will drop off soon I bet! So I sold mine. :D But yeah, I just enjoy Blight as a mechanic and I look forward to being able to 3x gold oil anoint my Blight-Ravaged maps sometime. I'm not strong enough to beat Blight-Ravaged maps yet... T_T
Gold oil is like 1 divine each now, absolutely not worth investing. Most of his yields is incredibly similar to stuff i got just using crimson or even azure.
I had the same issue running Blights, it lagges so hard. Then I read about changing renderer to Vulkan in the settings. Tried it and the lags are gone :) Blight maps run smooth now.
If you're having lag and performance issues in blight maps you need to switch to DirectX12 in settings. I went from having less than 10fps to never having below 150fps. I've already replied to a bunch of comments but I'm hoping this comment will get liked so everyone sees this.
Teals make a huuuge difference (clear speed), and also some dude did the math (although quite a while ago) and golden oils are actually worth using for blight ravaged.
Awesome format, even though tainted oils are only worth 50c currently (2 weeks into league) they generally go up to a few divines fairly quickly (For example last league tainted oils were up to 550c at 8 weeks in by that time I had over 100 to sell). Ill always save them up until they are over 2-3 div each then bulk sell tends to be quite profitable for me mid to later league.
Blight is great for Ssf players. I got 15-20 dense fossils for my SST shield before even getting to deep red tier. Really good source of crafting materials outside of the dedicated sources
No point running higher level blight maps, only if you want oil or a certain unique. The rewards be same low level, the only thing that changes is the oil type (lucky for instance). Scout towers work just as well.
This is a perfect example of Builds and player preferences in regards to Blight. Ziz's character has to run around to complete Blight, and then it definitely becomes a chore. TheGam3Report on the other hand makes sure every League to have his Minions be able to AFK T16+ Blight.
Glad it wasn't just me. Running blights in maps felt great, blights in 16s felt ok too. But once my build was running and I ran some ravaged maps it felt like a waste of time.
I made a cursebot this league despite it being nerfed to the point people preferred other support builds to it. Blighted maps are the only thing I can run solo.
This format is awesome, just like the one from Empy. This really helps to decide what to farm. Sadly it also shoes that GGG should give more love to many mechnaics

blight would be fun if you had a grace period between rounds to build towers, and if the game didnt completely lag out towards the end with tons of mobs
3.25 Blight in general felt super weak to me. The scarabs don't really inspire me and generally it drops so little oil now. The big chest one was amazing, when I hit oils and could open it 3 times, but really disappointing every map after that. The Blight-Ravaged did not feel like it was worth the investment. Haven't tested the Reward Empower Towers because that isn't the appeal of Blight Tower Defense to me. Oils - decent overall, but too little of the medium tier ones, like Crimson, that I like for Blighted Maps. I miss the Oil Extractors. They were fun gambles :c
From my experience you need to be juicing them to the max. You should be using at least one gold oil per map and roll for high rarity on the map mods. I usually run 1 gold, 3 silver, 2 opalecent and 3 teal. High cost but the payout can be very nice. You do need to have enough currency to sustain dry spells though.
idk what it is, i'm getting treatted much better than he is in my blight-ravaged maps, i had one map drop 3 divines and got a lot of profit from doing it, even after failing some 3 maps or so, some valdo boxes as well so i think it was great
Ive been doing bkight fir the first time this league and have had great drops. I use x3 silver oil X2 golden X3 black X1 crimson My atlas i out everything that increases drop quantity, explict modifiers, item rarity etc. this includes all the small nodes in the centre of the tree I use 4x dusk 9% bonus quantity on map device Golden oils sell for about 3/4 of a divine of SC atm so i collect these to sell as i only use 1 in each map Eith 3x silver you can get lucky x3 divine pops I personally just find the content fun as well, i love the massive loot explosions. If i compare these to just juicex maps, i seem yo make way more on blight

I do them because i get stuff guaranteed with this perma stunlock cheese, i do them much slower than you but it's how i made my small wealth from selling golden and silver oils, having enough currency for myself to not buy. Definitely not worth comparing to regular mapping but worth the time under certain conditions for mid tier players.
Honestly, with him releasing this video, I doubt everyone would flock to doing blight-maps since the overall loot was underwhelming. I'm hoping this causes gold oils to fall a bit and we can start using gold oils for better loot

@angelo2268 Harbinger is a lot more popular than blight. Everyone farms Harbinger because it's accessible, you don't have to go out of your way to do it, and it's straightforward. Blight is not popular, it's boring to run and you have to go out of your way to do it. The two mechanics are not comparable at all.

I can't anoint my blighted maps with more than 3 oils my blighted maps. I get "a blighted map cannot have more than 3 blight modifiers" but in Thai video you clearly see ziz using 9 oils in his blight maps. How ?
Yeah like that user said, it's a blight ravaged map. There is two different blight maps, the regular one you get, and a smaller chance to drop as a blight ravaged version which is basically the uber version of blight maps.
Random Blight enjoyer here This league low tier blight maps did feel a lot better than previous league if you have your atlas points on it I start to blight from white maps up to tier 16 got 7 silver and 3 gold when I just hit early red maps, really got my build going but you kinda need to have a lot of experience to play blight early as your build is not that strong, and mostly need to place tower correctly, plus taking into accounts of map mods "cannot be stunned" and "cannot modify movement and action speed below base value"

The fact that you have to use a mastery point to open all chests is insane by itself, but then it is locked behind a special type of build: Caster.

From what I have gathered.. stranglegrasp is ~1% chance or so. I think I've seen a total of 2 drop in doing blight ravaged maps over the years.

Nope, it was Eye of Chayula (1c). They do look similar but Yoke now only drops from one of the t17 bosses.

But they are clear, amber, sepia, the rest are pretty rare.

If you don't corrupt your maps, you dont get corrupted blight oils... You should have gotten at least a couple of corrupted oils from that many maps 😮

Just use DX12 instead of 11. I was getting 5fps before switching to DX12 with a very good rig too.
