What tip would you add?! All links are in description box 🙌🏽

One tip I'd add is spending 5-10 minutes with your customer interviewing them to see what's important to them can save you a sometimes massive amount of time and wasted product as they won't probably value the thing or even notice the thing you focused on that YOU decided was important to you and not them.

Great tip, when I went to my first customer I was completely oblivious to this idea. I did the vehicle 110%, spending so much time on every little notch of the grill and emblem and behind the faces of the rims which they didn't notice anything on that, but they pointed out how they wanted certain parts of the wheel wells and under the bumpers shined. Something that I didn't even think about; it can go both ways. I'm a perfectionist and this really bugged me so I started doing every single spot on cars absolutely perfect. Somehow I never had the thought of what you just mentioned, I'm going to start doing that right away.

    1. Focus on the results.
    2. Stay on your path.
    3. There are no rules.
    4. Use the customer's power and water.
    5. You are responsible for everything.
    6. Don't buy 'nice' brands.
    7. Set bigger goals.
Even if this is catered for your field, I'm sure that most of these tips are applicable to most businesses as well. Thanks for this!

Smile! People like friendliness. A couple of weeks ago I had the worst morning and I was in a garbage mood and I was bummed and hated everything. I pulled up to my first customer's house at 6 AM, took a few deep breaths, and plastered a smile on my face. At the end of the gig the customer said they liked the positivisty I showed. That broke me out of my funk. Be cool. Be friendly.

I like customers that appreciate the difference between a car wash and a car detail. Some people just don't get it and some do. I focus my clients on professionals like business owners and such. #1 I know they will have the money to do a proper detail and will appreciate it and #2 they always pay what you ask 😁🤑

I'm new to Detailing. I just left the Trucking industry after 24 years and accidentally fell into a used car detailer at the car lot my parents work at and have fallen in LOVE with Detailing. Thank you for your advice in your videos. Because this info is what has helped me learn new techniques and get off the "be like them" mentality. I'm growing everyday in Detailing and want to do Detailing going forward.

Haha want any water, coffee, lunch? So true! One problem I’ve had is feeling bad turning down lunch. Customers in general are so accommodating. Those who aren’t usually end up revealing the type of person they are before you even talk about scheduling.

    • @Easyazcarcleaning
      @Easyazcarcleaning Před 2 lety

I had a elderly regular cleaning client who made me lunch every time! I actually had to book the job so I was finished at lunchtime 😃
They were just as happy sharing this time and conversation with me as they were with the car clean.
You don't have to say no. For some people, the best result is not the clean car, but the fact that you accepted their offer. I always say 'yes' to drinks as it makes the person who offered feel accepted 👍👍

Couldn’t of said it better. People always get hung up on the perfect methods instead of focusing on what works and delivers results in a quick time which in turn makes more money!

I got 2 tips for you
    1. Start! I read too many comments about people who 'would like to' or 'I'm saving up' or when 'I've learnt enough' - just get started now!
    2. WHY? Why are you in this business? For me, it's to have time flexibility to be home with my kids, and because we wanted to travel the country in a caravan. (Which we did, washing cars all the way around Australia) Knowing WHY you're doing this will help guide your goals and actions and let you avoid doing things that don't match up.
    Hope this helps someone.
Always love your videos Oscar. Even after 6+ years full time at this, your words of wisdom guide me. This video a 'must watch' 👍👍

When you started did you create an Llc and buy insurance immediately. Or did you just side hustle it until you had the clientele to justify getting insured and starting a legitimate Llc/s-Corp?
