Laser Cutter Explodes, How to make Perfect gaskets, at home with a cheap laser cutter!

Hey guys, today attempting to make laser cut gaskets with my old office scanner, fusion 360 and a k40 laser, unfortunately I thermal shocked the laser and it all went down hill from there!
