- I was challenged to time-lapse Iceland in only 3 days. This led me on a journey through fantastic landscapes, glaciers, northern lights, and a lot of wind. See how it went down in this vlog.

TOTALLY amazing! Your bravery to conquer into such heavy snow storm was totally made jaw drop while watching this. You’ve inspired me to take a nicer time lapse and I’m going back Iceland this year end to shoot my video again. As you can see in my video, I camped overnight at Kirkjufell but no luck on northern lights. I was using Nikon D800 and the 36MP of glacier lagoon in 100% preview was spectacular.

Good work and well done! Something you need on your shoes, what you had on the wheels of your car: nails and spikes. I was there 4x in winter. Never without them. It is really icy in Iceland.

You can't imagine how lucky you were to see northern lights like these in only 3 days!
I work in a guesthouse in Reykjavik and I see everyday people coming to Iceland only for the northern lights who do not have the chance to see them even in one week.

Superb video - beautifully made. Love the fact you include information about your equipment and show the shots being set up. And of course the footage is incredible. Can't believe you had time to capture so much in 3 days, with that weather! Which month were you there and how long did you have daylight each day?

I was driving in conditions like that two weeks ago in Norway. Snow storm, misty and a LOT of wind, driving on small roads with maybe 2-3 meter visibility (worse than in the video). Never have I been so scared driving

Only 3 days? I hate that when you only have so little time for beautiful places. For example in the Sommer holidays I only had 10 days in sweden and it was so beautiful there.

Great video Morten! What advice would you give to a 20 year old that may be interested in photography? I went to college for two years but stopped going because I was wasting money, and I am trying to figure out if college is even worth it for something like photography. Is there any jobs that you could think of that would help pay bills on the side while developing photography skills? I am a bit concerned that I may get a job that locks me into a certain location with no time off, so I couldn’t travel anywhere to take pictures. I just don’t know how to approach a day job situation effectively, I don’t really need much money to survive though. I’d live in a van if I had to! If you or anyone else has advice I’d greatly appreciate it!
