It is actually possible to get bigger results with less blowing (no innuendo intendo); my source is that I've done mic minigames sometimes via exhaling from my nose instead of my mouth.

Whoa. Tim prevented both Emile's board sweep AND Jon's minigame sweep. Good going, Tim! Looking forward to Extra Mode! And the fourth and final minigame hard to win for me against the AI? It's Boo Tag, but only in single player as the first boo always has it out for you, and the AI gets hard to shake when you become a target.

As someone who generally laughs at Jon's rage, this series has been the best TRG series in years!
I think it's kinda funny how their minigame mode playthrough parallels their board playthrough. Chugga won all boards but the last one, whereas Jon won all the minigame modes but the last one. And Tim being the one to win that final game.

Jon did not cause the bomb to blow up on Emile, because the entirety of his meter was gray, meaning no audio was picked up. I think the game just realized Emile needed to be punished after all this time.

I'm not proud to admit it, but I have intentionally used the "scream as loud as possible so that the other player's mic picks it up" strategy to win this game. It's devious.

Many people would be worried that we are almost done with this lets play but I'm not worried. There are still a few things that we have not seen yet. Including some solo only options and some multiplayer only options I have never seen before. Also, I really hope they show off the How To Play board as it is a completely unique board that can't be seen anywhere else; plus the music is awesome. (also boss battles hopefully)

I really wish the How To Play Board was playable because there exists a trophy of it in the game, and I have unlocked it! I wish getting that trophy would unlock it as a playable board, but alas it doesn't. If a hacker hasn't done it already, I would love to see it be playable some day, like with the single player stages in Smash 64 or Rules Land in Mario Party 2.
Yeah Boss Bash which is single player and desert duel and pen pals which is only playable with 2 players.
I think Emile mentioned in a previous episode that they were going to show the bosses, not sure which one though sorry

Those bombs in Short Fuse sure weren't the only things that blew up in this session of Battle Cup. I'd say the music "The Pressure's On" fits that minigame incredibly well.

Put your lungs to the test in a series of candlelit jumps! Though as mighty as your breath can be, up to three of these eerie flames can be blown at a time! You'll be in for a gasp from the ambient lighting in the fancy corridor, or that may just be you feeling victorious yet so puffed out!
4:31 - *Dust Buddies*
Run, you minute fools! Run from the killer vacuum! The floor has been littered with ribbons, film strips, buttons, and rubber balls to stop you from reaching sanctuary! Failing to avoid these traps will leave you ever closer to being eaten by the house's apex predator!
5:57 - *Short Fuse*
Got...item? Nope, it's a Bowser Bomb, and three of them at that! The fuse's already lit, so you better start blowing down, otherwise you'll find yourself blowing up! Control whether you blow a lot or a little to improve your chances of avoiding an explosive end, but you'll end up seeing another poor sap be sent to kingdom come! Seems like mining for the fabled crystal DS might not be worth it...
9:15 - *Globe Gunners*
Armed with a water balloon gun, you'll scramble around the globe and pelt the competition with rubbery watery goodness! Approaching and shooting from behind will rack up lots of points and leave your poor targets absolutely soaked! Be sure to take a gander at the many model landmarks during your global hunt, as it'll be worth getting your own back drenched over!

Take a mellow stroll down circuitry lane and gather lots of coins along the way! You can forge a path that brings you to a surplus of gold, or you can use the bridges to block coins off from the other amblers! Some lovely multicolored lights await those whose bags are filled with delicious coinage!
14:40 - *Toppling Terror*
A big bad Whomp is blocking the path to the great flower garden! Pull out your mighty funnels to huff, puff, and blow that Whomp and their cohorts down to make them regret ever messing with you! You'll surely be making three little Toads quite happy for your deed!
Never forgot about Short Fuse, it’s the one mini game that caused a kid I used play this with game made them actually snap my DS in half.
Truely the game shows you who has the shortest fuse among your group of friends. 😅
Dust Bunnies, Globe Gunners, & Short fuse not being in the normal play through was a blow. I would have screamed if Track Star & Camera Shy weren’t. They couldn’t have skipped one of the times it was chips n shits?
(edit) especially short fuse that is the minigame for intense commentary especially if the coins are on the line. One of the best battle minigames of all time which 3 out of 5 of the battles in mpds are the best of all time imo
This is probably the best video of the whole series, I was laughing at all of the mic mini games and Tim absolutely crushed it this time around!

I think one of my favorite parts of these Mario Party LPs is that they always have that ONE minigame by the end of it.
Mario Party 3 had The Beat Goes On
Mario Party 8 had In the Nick of Time
Mario Party DS is Soap Surfers
Mario Party 4 had Dungeon Duos
Mario Party 5 had Coney Island
Can't remember what 6 and 7 would be though...

Fun Fact about Toppling Terror:
Sometimes if the match is very close, Whomp can fake you out by nearly falling on one team only to quickly flip back onto the other. It's hilarious.
Yeah, I was kinda disappointed we didn't get that this time, all three of them would have probably been in hysterics if the fake-out happened XD

Honestly, while it's funny to think that Jon sabotaged Emile, I don't think he actually did. The game has the volume meter on mic minigames, and it didn't fill in any when Jon said "How!?", so I genuinely think that Emile just got unlucky

Good job Tim winning the Battle Cup! With that and those other two minigames we got to see all of them. Looking forward to whatever's next in this awesome Mario Party DS series!
Mario Party DS might just be the most feature packed of any Mario Party game. One might assume that since we've seen the mini-game modes we're nearing the end, but there's still the Story Mode cutscenes, bosses, Puzzle games, the Multiplayer exclusive modes, the gallery and the anti-piracy that is definitely a real thing and not made up to see. I could see MPDS lasting another month with the side modes, but we'll just have to see.
Congrats on Tim for winning these games, and holy wow Emile's loss at the fuse was one of the funniest things on this challenge, god damn.

Tim/Yoshi wins battle cup, well so much for Jon/Waluigi’s win streak, he almost got a clean sweep of the minigame mode but he missed by just one last game to Tim/Yoshi.

Waluigi and Toad: Goodbye Cruel World.
Later Yoshi, Waluigi and Toad are on the dresser alive and not ripped apart, but are upset that they lost.
Also I think Emile and Tim wanted Jon to lose in Short Fuse because they made the fuse so short that he could not possibly recover. Also it was funny seeing Emile lose by just the last millisecond.
It’s mad how short fuse never made it in the party mode play through. Imagine the craziness that would have happened in a game that’s already crazy
Man, the minigames in this game truly are special. And that’s not all of them. Assuming they are covering the 1-2 player content, next up should be Bosses or the Puzzle mode. Now those are neato burrito
They also have the 2 player pen pals and dessert duel to try.
Oh yeah, that’s right! I remember Pen Pals, that was pretty rad. I for the life of me can’t remember what Dessert Duel is tho, it’s been forever since I played that
@@smackjack78In Dessert Duel you and the other player roll a dice and try to cover as much tiles in your color as possible and your free to steal the other players tiles too. You also have some tiles with stars ( which gives u extra points) and dice blocks ( which let you roll again). If you both land on the same tile a duel minigame would start in which u can steal each others stars.
I haven't played pen pals that much but remember that mode being the hardest.
My favourite part of this video is Tim realizing he can scream then proceeding to do just that.

Short Fuse is nerve wracking, but it’s such a fun Battle Minigame, I find it to be the equivalent of Bowsers Big/Bigger Blast.

Dust Buddies and Short Fuse are two of my favorites. Short Fuse is better with multiple players since you're always trying to screw over everyone else. Big Blowout is another favorite, and so is Globe Gunners. The minigames here are some of the best in the series.
I really liked battle cup, let's you pick your top 5 minigames. Mine were Soccer Survival, Whomp-a-thon, Crater Crawl, Dust Buddies, and Cheep Chump.
The fact that screaming counts as blowing into the mic is gut-bustingly hilarious.
Jon screwed Emile so hard in Short Fuse but in the end it was hilarious.

Tim found the strat for pedal pushes, you have to do it at a slower but at a moderate rate, I remember he found that during one of the boards, told no body else and has won it every time since, and it let him win here, proud of him

Tim and Chugga's screaming was pretty funny, it makes subpar mic minigames all the more tolerable to play.

You don’t even need to yell that loud. Ive found that holding out a note at a moderate level usually works fine
