    It's good to know Brickslopes isn't too far off on how it compares to conventions like this one. Glad you were able to make it and meet all those awesome AFOLs. SPACE!

      Have to agree. It’s great to hear that we have a local convention on par with one in a much larger city. Plus, it appears that over the last few years, Brickslopes has continued to grow, so it has the potential to surpass most Lego conventions and become an example of how a convention should be.

    A lot of good stuff there. Shy's SigFig is impressive. He doesn't do anything half-way, does he! 😂 I'd be interested in seeing more about your sorting tray. With all these rebrickable models I want to build, I may need a system more advance than random old plastic dishes.

    It was great meeting you & your wife. Glad you found me & were able to see my GBC Modules actually running.
    The garage sale went much smoother this year. It was the first time for me to sell LEGO. Ever. I don't like that I wasn't able to buy at the garage sale. Can't do both.
    I bought that brick sorter last year. It works great & is nicely compact.

    That's awesome.
    Also, I think Denver has two Lego Stores. I know the one at Colorado Mills. And the other one I think is in the Park Meadow Mall. We are going to Estes Park, CO at the end of July. We are definitely driving down to Denver to get my passports stamped. Hopefully they have the new ones as well.

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  Před 2 měsíci

      You are correct. There are two store but in my opinion the Colorado mills store is far superior. It’s a bigger store, it has more discounted items, plus the minifig factory.
      There is also BB a bricks and minifigs in Loveland Colorado. It is not too far from the first Lego factory in the United States, the old samsonite factory. There isn’t much to see at the factory now but it’s a cool part of Lego history.

    • @DanielEstes88
      @DanielEstes88 Před 2 měsíci

      @@jasonsbricksin5 That's good to know. I've seen people talk about the Colorado Mills and all the stuff they have, but I have never heard anyone talk about the other.
      Ha ha I just realized about a year and half ago that there is a Bricks and Minifigs in Loveland. When we drive to Estes Park, we always drive down Eisenhower. I have always wondered about the Samsonite Factory. If there are remnants of Lego History. Irregardless, I'm excited for next mont.
      Oh and please do a video on that wooden organizer. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

      I have a feeling we missed a number of people. It was very easy to get lost in the crowd on the public days, and we were not there on Sunday as we started our trek back to Utah that morning.

    Nice recap and great perspective. As someone that’s only ever gone to BW Chicago, one of my goals for 2025 is to branch out to other shows and have another point of reference, too.
    Staring at a giant mess of parts on my build desk right now, a demo of that sorting tray sounds like a neat idea. Hadn’t paid too much attention to those particular vendors at BW, but now I’m curious.

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Well if you venture to salt lake you can always come to brickslopes, it’s a great show.
      I will try to get a review of the sorting tray out in the next week or two.

  • @judy3973
    @judy3973 Před měsícem

    It sounds like great fun! If I were younger BW would be on my ‘bucket list.’ I too am interested in the sorting tray (sounds kind of like the sorting hat) and who sells it and the cost.

    Personally, I like the longer videos. Maybe you could rename the channel "Jason's Bricks in 5 but also longer when necessary, and maybe sometimes really long if Alex is on" -- Sounds kind of catchy don't you think? ;) PS You and your wife make a great team when you do videos together.

    Not trying to sound so bummed but I had seen your “preparing for brickworld” video and instantly bought a ticket. I live about 15 minutes away from the renaissance theater(venue) and i was looking for you for about an hour on saturday at 3pm. I was really looking forward to meeting you but unfortunately that fell short😞. I hope you and fiverton gal enjoyed your visit here in Illinois.

      Oh man I am so sorry to hear this. I would have loved to meet you. It certainly was more difficult to find people on the public days. If you want to email me I would be happy to send you the swag you would have got at the show.
      I hope you were still able to enjoy yourself at the show with all the amazing builds.

      Nothing. It is a part that it seems every Lego PAB wall has. It seems like a part with very few uses and the stores can’t sell them. So that is the joke about them.
