You should have a military parade every 4th of July or any other national holiday. In Greece 🇬🇷 we have two; every October 28th (Refusing to let fascist Italy enter Greece 1940 and defeating them in Albania) and March the 25th (Declaration of the Greek Revolution against the Ottomans in 1821). It really is a show of National pride. The military parades outside the Parliament building in Athens and every school parades with it’s students on every town square. It creates a sense of national unity and pride.
There would be many logistical issues. Not all of our military is in the continental US, much is in overseas bases and on duty in fleets. We do have military parades kinda, I visited sanfransico during naval week. They had the ships in harbor.
