Thanks for sharing. Looks similar to a Sand pear but not as hard.
I purchased mine a few years back from another state. Growing zones on tag wasn't compatible in my zone but I bought it anyway. I got a few bumper crops though. Glad to know these do well in FL. Fingers crossed.😊

They are great trees. I planted a couple to pollinate other pears and the pineapple pears do the best.

When I planted it, I didn't know anything about it either. After planting it, I just watered it and surprisingly, I haven't had any issues with bugs.

It has a slight taste of pineapple and some kind of citrus. The flesh is crispy and sweet, it’s a joy to eat!
