Let's be very clear about one thing. The "market" has been massively wrong on what the Fed should do with the funds rate for at least 2.5 years now. In early 2022 before the Fed even started hiking, the market was already forecasting rate cuts to happen by end of 2022. The market at the start of 2024 had 7 rate cuts for 2024. Laughable to suggest the Fed is the one that has been getting this wrong. It has proven out that they were right to start hiking in early 2022, aggressively ramp up that funds rate, and then keep it at the terminal rate until now. Also, the Fed on numerous occasions has stated that a recession will likely occur as a result of this hiking cycle. The market consensus has been no or soft landing, which is another thing they will be massively wrong on...........I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 140k to a decent 539k....I'm especially grateful to Adriana Jensen whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

I'm always looking for the big picture paradigm shifts and looking at all of my charts, one thing I noticed is that QQQ has not even retraced 38% of the the recent A leg down, while EEM and VEU have retraced 50% and SPLV looks to be in a bull flag. Bottom line for me is Value and non U.S. equities might be making a move...

End Weekly Pivot Support at 5273 held its own grounds which is portending a rebound now. Friday's closing price is 5344. SNP 500 can recover its upward trend if it can close above Daily Support Resistance at 5488. If 5273, is violated with an End Weekly Close, its price action will try test End Monthly Pivot Support at 4675.
Rob do ya see the 335 correction setup? 462.xx wave 5. We're trapping here what looks like a .5 fib but i think this reversal actually is a leading 3 wave diagonal, 537+538. (537.38 bullish harmonic first target, but that's likely setting up bearish off this extension) cheers. In hindsight, Spy followed harmonic pattern target exactly, now I'm looking at that 9 level and where we could correct to.
If that turns into a 3 wave down, then the only options are for a Wave 4 Triangle or Expanded Flat. I believe main markets, and crypto and metals, are all in a Wave 4. Higher yet to come.
Once the retracement to the previous Wave 4 has been reached, a corrective pattern emerges, either a Flat, Zig Zag or Triangle. It takes a few days before we get an idea of which.
To Yen Carry or not to Yen Carry; that is the question. I heard BOfJ may have apologized for raising rates so there is a probability things may calm down.

Been a while, let's see what the fellow I call "Mr. Opposite" has to say about markets. The plan model is to listen to what he has to say, see if you can ascertain any actual prediction, then take the opposite side of that trade. By my calcs, I used to make money 80% of the time on this trading strategy - so that's why I call it the Mr. Opposite trade.
Not quite sure how to take the comments, although I appreciated everyone's take. If you're referring to me, "I" don't make any predictions, I just for educational purposes and to provide a forum for comments, read the charts the best I can as to the algorithms labeling. You've got BTC labeled as if it's starting wave 4 of a 5 wave down pattern. Is there any reason we couldn't have just finished an ABC decline, and just now turning up in wave 1 to begin a new 5 wave move?
A couple of things. First of all, it's the software algo doing the labeling, not me. To answer your question, yes, what you asked is possible as the algo still has the Wave 3 as "current", ie green, not purple, so the algo is not convinced the Wave 3 is complete. Therefore, a relabeling or another move lower could occur. Thanks for the post!

So, this guy claims, in the comment responses below, that he makes no predictions then, in the very same post, claims his predictions are correct "more times than I've been wrong". Just for reference, this and the fact that he censors commentary, are the reasons why he is ON REPORT for disseminating misinformation. I think it's totally fair to classify a blatantly self-contradictory statement misinformation and to warn others about that tendency.

My question on SLV is once the retracement down to previous wave 4, where normally does the chart move, up or down
Once the retracement to the previous Wave 4 has been reached, a corrective pattern emerges, either a Flat, Zig Zag or Triangle. It takes a few days before we get an idea of which.
