  • These exercises are super important for improving respiratory system function and strength, two things that could be extremely valuable in the face of a virus that causes severe issues to the respiratory system. As a "side effect" these exercises can also reduce stress and tension, improve posture, relieve back/shoulder/neck pain, strengthen your core, boost immune system function, aid digestion and a whole lot more.
It is EXTREMELY RARE that I say something is good for everyone, but these exercises are one of those rare instances that I believe everyone should be doing them. This daily practice is even more critical for those with compromised respiratory and/or immune systems, chronic illness, poor health, elderly, or other issues that would cause them to be at high risk for having serious complications to Covid-19.

I’m in the Uk and have asthma. Social distancing and a degree of self isolation has been my life for over 4 weeks now.
Breathing techniques are really important generally, anŷthing that can be of assistance to having better strength of respiratory muscles is of great help, thank you for this video.

I had a horrible choking attack a few years ago, then labeled as reactive airways disease which landed me in the ICU. I'm taking every precaution to avoid Covid and yes, better to strengthen the respiratory system.

You deserve a lot more views for this video. I had reactive airways disease (RAD) around four years ago and I remembered the straw and balloon from my breath test! Thankfully I recovered quickly but still get a little discomfort when triggered with chemicals. Will work on these breathing exercises right away. Thanks!

Ive been looking for solid workout instruction online and I think your videos are great! I would have shared this if it was a 3 min vid. The format is too long to make this competitive. Show don't tell. That is the brilliance of photography. Spend the initial 3 min of the video showing the model breathing correctly. Ppl will mirror the image naturally.
