Hey everybody, welcome, to the next commentary. Today we are playing, Zoe mid-lane versus; it looks like a Sylas, which is uh a pretty good matchup for Zoe as long as uh you don't like, get yourself extremely far behind from maybe uh, getting hit by his chain too much. Just because his ultimate is not really the best to take yours.
Because your ultimate is pretty useless, it doesn't do any damage. It just moves you.
And then you move back.
so because of that, sometimes zoe can be considered almost as like a counter pick to Sylas so uh.

Should be a pretty good matchup for us and then uh, we’re just doing regular league no off meta… off meta series uh games have been a struggle so I haven’t don’t a regular Zoe game I feel like in quite some time I think so I figured why no do it this game, they do have some champions that I absolutely despise especially as Zoe. For instance rengar with his w making it so he can cleanse your bubble, that’s really irritating… my team is just double checking to see if the enemy team is for some reason invaded. And we’re uh waiting inside of the brush, what does this guy have ? Some people start a Doran’s shield so I just wanted to double check because sometimes poke isn’t as valuable.

@@xLellx Yes, you aim for the feet. I think most folks know this by now. Still think that shot should have hit. There wasn't an elevation difference or anything either
@@xLellx let's be real, Zoe's bubble is one of those skillshots who tend to "lollipop" a bit. And the hitbox is quite generous. Even going throught the torso or head, you get drowsy there 99.9% of the time

The game was in master tier. But then if I label it Master Zoe it makes it seem that I'm not Challenger

Today we are playing Zoe mid lane
Wow, Blitz and Talon were doing the most to sabotage that game. You have two options against their team comp; protect the Zoe who's the easiest target(do not recommend if she's behind), or hover the Ezreal and go for picks. Hovering top, and trying to go for Talon picks is absolutely stupid, especially since Panth is impossible to gank when he's ahead. Talon is hard countered by both Rengar and Panth, and Sylas is too fed and bulky to one shot.
Talon randomly trying to go for picks on Thresh, hovering a Sion with Hullbreaker, and not shadowing whoever is matching Sylas pretty much trolled the entire game.
It's a good thing the Rengar was also just as bad at macro doing things like trying to solo kill the Ezreal at baron when there's no one to contest it since Talon was dead. Like... just wait for the enemy to come to the pit, or go for the easiest target. Plus, he also randomly followed the Sylas split for some reason when he's down dragons and need to just siege instead of going for picks that don't amount to anything even if they _do_ work out.

Be consistent! You'll climb! Use more pings to communicate with your team.
I hear you there I had the exact same issues with top lane specifically I mean I was pretty much a tank player or at least going the champs that are tankier like Cho'gath was one of my favorites although I also did play some Vlad, Ornn and Sett as well etc. Never did really find a way around it so I role swapped to support to try what I learned down there. And I mean everytime I played like tank Cho I was like ahead massively over lane opponent like up 5+ kills while there feeding 5 or more to me. And usually I did it without my jungler helping me at all while there Jungler showed up to try to help them but fed me more.

Is shyv still an option as a second item on zoe? i used to enjoy buying it especially second item, helped a lot with wave clear and just doing great damage with passive with every combo. Now that it's nerfed is it still worth it?
He actually talked about this on stream. Since the minion AP ratio was entirely removed, and dashes and blinks giving energized stacks was nerfed, it’s probably better to just build something else. It gives no AP and the only ratio it has is the occasional 30% on autos. Apparently there are some people in high elo are still building it, though I’m not sure whether that’s because they’re out of the loop or because it actually still has some viability.
@@nevernotnor Thanks for the answer, I tried it in practice tool just now, i skipped to around 25 mins when you would most often get and and you dont seem to be able to oneshot the wave like you could before the nerf, the range minions live with a bit of health. I would assume that means it isnt worth buying anymore.

Low elo you can play zoe and 1 shot everything do whatever you want. In higher elo sometimes you gotta chill and not kill. When you do all of sudden the whole team wanna flash and ult on you then end up dying because they forgot you have 4 teammates. Sure im mad i died but happy to take a free because everyone wanna kill Zoe
why are higher elo zoe mains mechanically lacking... even midbeast's Zoe mechanics are only silver/gold level, keen to see a challenger zoe main who is mechanically gifted as well as macro etc. I might just be the first. :))
