at nearly 30 years old “the haunted mask” is still my favorite episode of goosebumps as it is the most well acted, well directed episode of the entire series .
"Welcome to Dead House" and "The haunted Mask II" are inarguably the scariest. They have some of the best budget and effects of the whole series. The ending of "Welcome to Dead house" where the townsfolk all descend upon the family and start breaking through the walls and floors to corner them and eat them; has to be some of the most creepy imagery the series ever produced. As well as the attitude of the dead. They move slow and relish the chase; knowing that there is nowhere for this family to go and their fate in seemingly inevitable. They've done this numerous times before.. it's not just a meal for them- it's a game. They are like a cat that plays with its food before eating it.... Werewolf skin is a close runner-up for creepiest.
@@thecawdfather87 ikr the episode of Haunted Mask ll was seriously underlooked... just to think that the villlain cant be scarier he has the capability to control multiple people literally the shopkeeper and Steve just it shows how evil that mask is... also seing Carly Beths transformation from a skiddish child to a brave and strong child in the end is very wholesome to see!!
The Ghost Next Door was my all-time favorite. It wasn't the scariest but it had a twist that left my jaw on the floor. Also the ending was bittersweet.
I have no idea why but as a kid basements scared so much. My childhood home didn’t have one and I didn’t know anyone with one. So basically I just avoided “stay out of the basement” like a plague. I ended up watching it when I was older and really loved it, but never committed to reading the book. I never knew the book was so messed up. It had one of the kids axe to death the plant clone of their father. Even if it was a plant, it still looked exactly like their father and I couldn’t imagine going through that. “The Haunted Mask” was the scariest for me as a kid and it’s probably still my one. It’s so good!
I believe i rented the Goosebumps dvds from my local library when i was really young, like 6 or 7, and the scariest episode that i can BARELY remember is Cry of the Cat. I was also afraid of this sea based episode i think called Deep Trouble
Idk why but the episode where the kid made the maid get him strawberry ice cream every day and one day he got grabbed and pulled into the cabinet scared the crap out of me when I was little
I saw goosebumps for the first time in 2008 on Disney xd and life has never been the same lol. I hope they do justice to the books and the original show with the new Disney plus series otherwise I'm gonna riot!
I loved these books in elementary school, id be reading a new one from the library each month. I specifically rememeber readinf a night in terror tower. And the slappy episode haunted me for years. Dummies still freak me out ,😂
Yeah well Chucky nor Slappy will Never Hold the candle to the likes of Talking Tina from The Twilight Zone: Living Doll "My name is talking Tina and I don't I like you."
Don't know if this helps, but I got a bluray set on etsy that has every single episode of the Goosebumps TV show from the 90s. It cost me like 25 bucks, and the episodes have pretty good video quality. It might still be available if you're interested. 😊
I love me some Goosebumps, but c'mon. If we keeping it 💯, the intro & theme song to 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' alone was infinitely scarier than any episode of GB. Plus, our generation grew up watching at least one Freddy, Jason, or Michael Myers movie before any of those shows premiered. GB had a few episodes with legit "creepy" factor (Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes, Welcome to Camp Nightmare), but scary?...Nah.
Not the scariest but I still love “The Werewolf Of Fever Swamp”
And I also really like
“One Day At Horrorland”
Those are literally my two favorite episodes!
Me too, well except for Horrorland. I mainly just like Werewolf Skin and Fever Swamp.
Oh yeah and I love those two I really love those episodes I actually loved all the episodes
Weirdo Halloween scared me

I loved Calling all Creeps when I was younger and piano lessons to die for.
Not to be that guy but it’s piano lesson can be murder
My favs are "The haunted mask" and the "night of the living dummy".
Y’all are sleeping on the ‘stay out of the Basement’ episode. That was scary as shit. It literally had body horror in it.
Probably my favorite!
Now I can’t even go back to my favorites because Netflix removed the f-ing episodes
They have full episodes here on CZcams.
Is it just me or i cant go 1 day without thinking about goosebumps

I destroyed my night in terror tower vhs from watching it too much 😂
With that said, the haunted mask was my favorite and the ONE I didn’t own! 😢
One day at horror land and the swamp monster one scared me the most

I loved One day at Horrorland
The dummy episode got the show, books, all banned by my mom. Damned dummy.
I still have a fear of them to this day because of this specifically.
Damn Dummy!

We can all agree that Chucky has the most plot armor for a doll
The werewolf episode gave me nightmares as a kid
Wow I loved reading the books ,
“When I saw slappy for the first time on tv I couldn’t sleep for a week💀”
Okay okay but the one that really scared me as a kid was “The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight”
Phantom of the auditorium is a sleeper hit
My favorite is egg monsters from mars.
"the scarecrow come to life at night" (showed scarecrow from Doctor Who) 😂🤭
Any book or episode with Slappy is my fav
I loved these books in elementary school, id be reading a new one from the library each month. I specifically rememeber readinf a night in terror tower. And the slappy episode haunted me for years. Dummies still freak me out ,😂

I am severely depressed after finding out netflix remove the goosebumps series and only has 12 episodes now😢 any clue where its streaming now?
I’ve been trying to look too
It’s on CZcams but it’s very low quality
Don't know if this helps, but I got a bluray set on etsy that has every single episode of the Goosebumps TV show from the 90s. It cost me like 25 bucks, and the episodes have pretty good video quality. It might still be available if you're interested. 😊
