- Chronic wasting disease detected in Florida
The first known case of CWD in Florida has been confirmed in a white-tailed deer collected from Holmes County. Chronic wasting disease affects the brain and central nervous system and is always fatal to members of the deer family. Currently, there is no scientific evidence that CWD can be transmitted to humans or livestock under natural conditions. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention do not recommend consuming meat from animals that test positive for CWD or from any sick animal. If you see a sick, abnormally thin deer or find a deer dead from unknown causes, please call the CWD hotline, 866-CWD-WATCH (866-293-9282) and report the animal’s location.
Florida is the most recent of 31 states to detect the disease. Since 2002, more than 17,500 deer have been tested for the disease in Florida. The FWC along with our partners take CWD very seriously and have implemented a comprehensive response plan. As part of the plan, samples will be collected from specific established zones to further assess the spread of the disease and we will continue to update the public as more information becomes available. You also forgot to mention the bizarre behavior that arises from the infection. Infected deer *cannot* give prions to another deer through contact or close-proximity. They can only do this through the other transmissions mentioned.
Yeah
Imo I absolutely think it can affect humans, I mean look what happened with the mad cow disease
CWD specifically doesnt affect humans, but prion diseases in humans are 100% possible! i think if CWD was to spread to humans it would be its own variant. but maybe thats what you were implying w mad cow disease having its own human "version"
That's why I refuse to eat deer meat right now lol don't want to tempt fate. That's how we got Mad Cow, people eating the diseased meat over and over and over.
In your opinion you absolutely think? In my opinion you absolutely dont think!
@@davidpavel5017what
Overall, you would want to be careful and weigh out the odds. Prions are 100% fatal. All it takes is a single prion to enter the body, and you are on a timer
Aw hell naw, we gotta prepare for the end..
Has this man never pronounced "W" before?
Probably...because that voice is computer generated...😂
It's an AI voice
See double ya dee
Isn’t he saying it right?
C- double u- D?
Have you?
How do you say it?
Thanks for the explanation because all I pictured as soon as I heard "zombie virus" was the movie World War Z💀. 2:12
Well now CWD is in California I just heard about it on the news tonight
Those who come in contact with the deer should avoid handling them, yet it poses no risk to humans.....? Sure
There are no cases of it spreading it Humans however better safe then sorry
Well any sick/infected/wounded animal can (and is) very dangerous to a human, as they can (and 99% will) attack.
Well viruses can mutate. So less human contact is probably the safer option for humanity in general. Best let the professionals handle it.
@@robertw1800 Yeah but it doesn't just mutate in the speed of an blink so, also handling the deers can be dangerous beacuse they are wild (and sick) animals, any person with a bit of knowledge or a brain, will take that as common sense information.
@@soliderhuhu I'm sure they said the same thing about Covid, and HIV. Both of which came from animals, and those viruses were most likely not contagious to humans. It only takes 1 strain for it to become so, and spread.
Drunk deer😍🥰
Saw this in a movie 🍿 and it did not went well for us.
What movie?
I think it can enter into human
But they don't want to say
do you have any evidence for this our are you just a dickhead?
Nao coma carne de cervo
Bro got a jynxzi accent
Brought to you by the Gates Foundation.
Não coma carne de cervo
A while back I heard that they were going to start dropping vaccines in places for animals. I wonder if this is a result of it?
no
I heard that the trump administration made it so the USDA doesn’t have to test for prions disease anymore in meat. I hope I’m wrong
'promosm'
Keep it in America
It's already here in Canada
It's giving mlp infection AU
'promo sm' ✋
CWD is real and spreading, been going on for awhile
We gotta prepare for a Zombie apocalypse for this…
Omg we are going to have soon zombies!😍I AM. SOOOO EXCITED I WAS WAITING FOR THIS MY WHOLE LIFE.I AM READYYY EHEHEH
i hate you so much
Do you live in a city?
No vaccine no cure it sounds like walking dead 😂
Yea thats what makes it scary.
At least with a bacterial infection you can always hope for a antibody ir for a virus a vaccine. With prions you’re 100% fucked and it could spell disaster for your species.
If it jumps species it will
I mean, if the disease could only affect the deer families, it wouldn't survive for that long so... Disease either die or adapts to new hosts, just sayin
Oh thank god its nothing Big idoits on the internet where lying about it and Got me worried lol
How to kill a deer with a nailgun is next up.
Sounds like biden
That’s why I don’t eat deer there that’s zombie no way! I’m not eating a zombie deer no CWD not safe to eat not me
