- This is Peridot's (from the UK) performance at the 2009 World Hip Hop championships. This performance won the hearts of the audience AND other competitiors, however for some reason Peridot did not rank in the top 12 and therefore did not qualify for the finals........... Why??? Have a look and judge for yourself.

I went to the UK Streetdance Championships today and Peridot came in third....judging by the audience around me -we were all shocked-they should have won. Absolute class!
This is Terence from joyce and the boys and We love peridot. these guys were in front of us during the test stage run and they blew our minds away. they WERE CRAZY. they are definitely a bunch of crazy talented people. There isnt any reason at all why they are not in top 12. Crazy performance. i bet many people went back their own countries and mentioned abt peridot and how sick they were but sadly did not make it to top 12 for no reason. because we did man. Amazing performance.

hi im simmz from peridot this my group thanks for the comment on tricks and stunts alot of hard work goes into that so thanks, about the wheres hip hop! this is my Interpretation of hip hop and this way we stand out from the rest, its easy to follow but hard to be different. you should try it one day u might like it.

This crew was amazing!! I loves their 2008 performance as well. I am from The USA. You all should have been in Finals!! Makes me wonder??? IDK well you all need to know your fellow Dance community appreciates what you do! Keep reppin the UK YALL:)xo
I was there and im from boston and i have no ties to this group, and they were one of maybe 3 groups to get a standing ovation from thousands of dancers, not just normal people in the crowd but dancers.. They were def one of the top 3 groups, and i know that a lot of people thought the same.. Mad love from the bean, yall ripped that shit!!!
No idea how this crew didn't make it to the final, that was an awesome performance!

Isolation is actually coming back into dance and i wouldnt be surprised if every group incorporates isolation into their routines somehow because we aim to inspire. Thats what we do.

@yoshi105 I totally agree with you, because it's also about adding a kind of comedy like performance also. But they are without a doubt, the best dance crew I've seen because their style is very original.

This sets hard. well done peridot. maybe this wasnt (somehow) what the judges were looking for. no one can quite believe you didnt make the finals. but peridot came hard this year. hard.

Their semi-final performance on BGT 2010 is much tighter than this performance - there were obvious mistakes and guys not quite in synch in place. So awesome they've made it on BGT this year - I LOVED their semi-final performance tonight (and their audition).

I'm from the Uk and live in London and i totally agree with your comment. that it was an amazing performance. but i watched the crew that came 13th (street4one) and they were so bad. so how can peridot be so far behind that. it just doesn't make sense.
All dance comps should be judged by crowd or viewers, as most judges always are bias to something, whoever didn't let these guys get through are WhACk!!!!!!!
i understand what your saying, but you need to take into consideration that there are so many different styles of dance, theres so many varieties across the world. Maybe this is not your particular style, but you cant say that its not dance. no two groups are the same. I appreciate that you still enjoyed it but i think personally your comment was harsh. It was clean, the choreography was there in our style.

that got them cut. even their flip weren't in sync
Pdot is an isolated group and that is how we dance, we r bringin sumthin new to dance.y be lyk evry1 else? Predictable. Look out again for us this yr, and keep lookin out 4 our videos. I havent come on here to argue, i just believe that other dancers and choreographers need to be more open minded instead of judging everything that isnt in the "norm".

Its cuz they only had 3 main styles in their dance.
tutting, waving and popping.
their locking was to short to be classes as another styles used i guess. its cuz u need 4 main styles in ur dance to go threw to the finals, but if they did go threw. oh my they wud of killed it.

If they had used this routine mixed with the one they used yestarday they would of easily gone through. The routine used on BGT didn't involve way as much movement as this video.

probably didnt go through because of the follow: all songs used were renditions or just beats and the judges didn't count it as dancing and only gimmicks and stunts. regardless that shit was fuckin DOPE!
