- It might just be true, the bucktail is the only fishing lure you need to globally catch both fresh and salt water fish. In this video we use it to catch Bluefish and Striped Bass in the Northeast.

Oh wow that sounds like a lot of fun, thanks for watching!
get emmm bro 🙌 good to see ya back keep the great vids coming
Appreciate you watching dude, hope you have a fun season ahead
If I recall correctly that purple shad did you well last year in Brooklyn towards the end of the season. THX for another entertaining video.
Oh yea the purple shad gets it done
Keep them coming.
Thank you Joseph, should have some rockin fishing on this moon
nice fish, nice video.
Thank you!
Some good fish dude.
thank you hope your having a good season
Bucktail have been a standard out here on the West Coast,… all the hardcore Striper guys cast them including myself for the last 50+ years …,standard issue of veteran striped bass fishermen 👍😎🤙
They never let you down and are fun to fish. Thank you for watching bud
@@BobAquatic West coast surf casters swing some pretty heavy lures / jigs etc,…3 to 6 oz. trying to achieve the 200 yard cast
blue...basss...big blue..no a bass..probably a blue though...might be a bass...
could be a bass......nope...its a blue
Blue from get go ripping line. He don’t know
Ron, the master
New sub, I’m just starting out in the fishing world
Welcome! It’s a good group on this channel
Can you disclose the date of this trip on the first part of your video?
Nice video, what size bucktail are you using.
I think that one was 1oz but I carry a bunch and switch depending on the tide
What line are you using? I had two blues hit me yesterday off Kismet and chomped on my line.
I think 25lb in this video, but if I'm targeting bluefish probably 40lb.
Thanks
went twice to east rockaway inlet this week & got skunked twice. have you tried there yet bob ?
its pretty hit or miss for me too. The bait seems scattered, but it'll all come to life any moment
Just in case... you should make sure youre not wearing waders on a kayak. If you take a spill, and you will, the waders will make you sink.
Hey thank you for watching! I am wearing a dry suit in this video
@BobAquatic great. You're living the life man.
What trailer are you using in the bucktail ? Catch ‘em up ✌🏾
What up Karl, this day it was a Gulp Jerk shad. But I've really been liking the jig strips this season, they seem to be working the best for bass.
@@BobAquatic can’t go wrong with the jig strips, or 6” gulp shads either way. Tight lines
Fat Cow Jig Strips
Damn bro put some line on that reel😂
I had it with me, I’m just being really frugal this season
What rod and reel are you using?
@@BobAquatic what is it then?

Welcome Back Bob!
Been waiting for your Spring vids.
Was this your 1st time out there at the beach this season?
I've been out a lot but its honestly been pretty slow. Haven't really gotten on a solid bite yet
@@BobAquatic yeah I've been over there a few times over the last month. Only pulled a couple.
Full Moon this coming week. Though I haven't had much luck at that spot on high moon tides.
Do you have any opinions either way on fishing the Full Moon in that specific area?
Thanks
The fishing is slow this year. I’ve been fishing other areas to be honest
Hello how many ounces is that Bucktail. Thx.
I think it was 1oz
You sound kind of disappointed in catching a striper. Carol burn that size I'd be happy with more so even bigger but I'd be happy with that one that was good eating size. Unfortunately the only ones I've caught were landlocked stripers. In reservoirs we don't get them down here in Texas. In certain parts we do but of course is there freshwater stripers. Still nothing to complain about.
Nah, I am grateful for every fish I catch. Thanks for watching
