This video gives the application of Newton’s Second law in our day to day life. Means it gives an example of Newton's second law of motion real life.
The second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables - the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object.
Here we derived two different examples for it.
    From the first example,
We can illustrate that when we catch the ball we stop it gradually. We need to apply less force. This is easy and safe.
But when we stop the ball suddenly, we need to apply a larger force. This is difficult and also can injure our hand.
    From the second example,
    In a high jump,
If the surface is soft, the athlete’s body changes velocity in more time. Thus less force acts on his body, which is safe.
But if the surface is hard, the athlete’s body changes velocity in very less time. The large force acts on his body, due to which he may get injured.
All the above-mentioned topics are described in an interactive and efficient manner so that the students could easily understand them.

  • @pranavpratik.

When the cricketer moves his hand back , the time taken to reduce the momentum of the ball to zero is increased!
And due to more time taken to stop the ball , the change of momentum is reduced and hence a small force is applied on the hand..
In case if the cricket player stops the fast moving ball suddenly , then the large momentum of the ball will be reduced to zero in very short time due to which change of momentum will be very large and will exert a greater force ...
From the above example can't we say that force is inversely proportional to rate of change of momentum (time taken in change of momentum)?

If we take an example of pencil and the earth since the earth is attracting a pencil with some force and according to Newton's third law of motion here also the pencil will also attract the earth with same force but since the mass of earth is larger than that of pencil that's why the pencil gets attracted towards Earth and falls on it.
      On the other hand..
*We know that Sun attracts Earth and by the Newton's third law of motion the Earth also attracts Sun since the mass of Sun is greater than the earth , then why the earth does not get attracted towards Sun and falls on Sun's surface?*

Bro actually force is a scalar quantity.... We know from 3rd law of motion that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction... So when the ball applies a force of 100 newton on the hand then the hand also applies an equal magnitude of force in the opposite direction that's why it is in minus..here minus sign shows direction of motion not its magnitude

      1. f is inversely proportional to t 2.f is directly proportional to ∆p/∆t
does the 't' in both the cases stands for the same thing or in first case t stands for time taken in something and in 2nd case t stands for time taken in something else?
