- Now that we've done a few of the bigger jobs, thought is time to take the car on its first drive. Still is plenty of stuff I want to do, but enjoy some V10 noise in the meantime!

Hello, great car. I want to ask you this. In the event that rod bearing went totaly wrong, and it damage the cranckshaft and it needed to be replaced, how much is a new one and are they available ???

havent driven one in yrs but it was an addictive machine. always wondered if it wouldve handled better with Active Rollbar Stabilization which the regular e60 had

quick tip if you want a cheap exhaust mod. put the rear seats down and go for a drive. LOL.

that sounds sweet can't wait till you get another system on it your going to need deep pockets for fuel and tyres but there again if you could'nt afford to run it you would not buy one . that would put a smile on any bodies face .

Try the launch control! I remember launching 1 on a tiled workshop floor when these first came out. Spent the next 30mins removing rubber from said tiled floor 😅
I don’t recommend doing launch starts in smg 3 , otherwise the clutch will blow up , or even worst , transmission failure ((((
I put a deleted back box on mine. Relatively inexpensive mod, only cost a couple hundred quid but it sounds so much better!! Get some spacers on that Bro, make a huge difference to the stance of the thing. If you look at it stock, it's shocking how much the arch just eats the wheel

A guy I know who owns the M6 V10 unfortunately had an engine hydro lock due to a leaking injector a few weeks ago which prompted me to have mine changed on the M5 V10 last week as it’s not worth chancing considering I’m on 91,000 miles with original rod bearings as well , engine build is around 8-10 k for one of these cars , I think it’s time for the rod bearings and vanos next so she’s parked up for a few weeks until there fitted , the throttle actuators we’re done around 3 years ago so this is the last major work which will pretty much last me for years to come as it’s only doing around 2k a year during the summer, I recommend the evolve carbon fibre air intakes and switchable back box delete which I have as that’s all this car needs nothing else along with standard factory looks it’s a great toy , I actually don’t know whether to keep the car or pursue one other car I’ve always wanted the TVR Cerbera 4.5 it’s very hard to decide as I can’t have both , has anyone on here owned one of these the info and knowledge would be greatly received 😎👍🇬🇧

The E60 suffers with wind noise, even with the sunroof closed. Terrible.

Curious, when you did the rod bearings..what oil are you using? The weight I mean, 10w60? I have two of these cars, both 2006's. One silver, other Indy Red with the Portland interior
Right Hamza, V10 N/A or the 5 cylinder 5 pot? I've got a rs4 4.2 v8 b8.5 and it's amazing cant best a high reving N/A

Hamza I hope your getting the eisennman exhaust. My older brother had one fitted to his car years ago and it sounded like a straight piped lamborghini v10. Be interested to see what you go for bro
