Meerab was 100% right at the panchayat scene …. She asked 3/4 times to murtasim about naila’s issue but murtasim didn’t even bother to explain it to meerab… murtasim always expects meerab to understand him without giving her proper explanation about that matter

Murtasim wasn’t talking to Meerub already. He didn’t find it important to give any explanation or reason to Meerub. Also he would’ve never expected in his wildest imagination that Meerub would barge in the panchayat like this because no woman had ever done this in his family.

He knows she will question his decision, and she is hot headed (like him), and impulsive and she is not a woman of his family. Hence, he should have explained privately that he didn't intend to do anything wrong to Naila and so Meerab wouldn't have opposed him publicly.

@Hassan and Amna: how can you guys forget two critical scenes.
    1. Murtasim saying “meri biwi ka kya qasoor tha?”
    2. Murtasim taunting Meerub by saying “tumhari Shaadi nahi Kay koi chala jayey” or “papers sign kar wa lay”.
First time we see Murtasim taunting Meerub with how she walked away during Nikah ceremony and demanded no physical relationship. Both acts were childish and Murtasim finally throws it in her face. The bigger picture is that Meerub has been very childish in her ways and Murtasim has been putting up with a lot.
As for calling Meerub his biwi, we again see Murtasim taking a stand for his wife. He did that earlier with Ma begum by saying “meri biwi ko thapad Mara ap nay”. We see him take a stand when after the fish incident he declares Meerub has the right to live how she wants in the house. Here, again, he is taking a stand by asking why his wife was mistreated.
It is refreshing to see a hero defending his wife. Murtasim is her pillar of strength. The day this pillar falls, Meerub will fall as well. We see after the accident, Meerub is also beginning to grasp this.

    • @maragathm
      @maragathm Před rokem +7

On point 1 can we all cheer for the fact that murtasim doesn’t victim shame meerub, yes initially he was like stubborn girl why did you get out of the car. When murtu baby says things like this respect goes up. He is not hung up on the fact she disobeyed me, so everything is her fault. Bechara came for village romance with biwi, but instead wife missing sleepless nights near death experiences police case panchayat marriage fixing headaches and now deadly car crash.
The second point was funny, points to wahaj comedic timing, underrated murtu sense of humour.
On that note of respect was that deliberate by bakthu to address khan wife as meerub without respect. Was it mistake In dialogue because it stood out to everyone as deliberate slight, before this he always called her as bibi. I hope it is addressed later also bakthu the snake telling everything I hope murtasim gives him a kicking for throwing his wife under the bus.
I am conflicted about murtasim being her only pillar of strength, we knee cap the woman so she has no choice but to depend only on her man. Can we please see something different. Why can’t they be each other strength. Meerub has no real power, even though murtu says she can do anything she wants, but can she or the bigger question is will he let her because right now he is only interested in keeping her under his shadow. I hope at the end of this story journey meerub gets to pursue law, and they become a true power couple.

      @25crstal Před rokem +5

@@maragathm great point about women being placed in these situations where they become dependent on men. Powerful positions in name only. I think the issue here is that Murtasim has learned that he cannot defy the system and win. He might’ve done that in the past and lost his first love. Now he is older and smarter. He plays within the rules but makes his own decisions which are slowly changing the system for the better. In the case of Meerub, he can’t just let society see her do whatever she wants. The system will deem her unsuitable as a wife/daughter/woman. Instead, he is showing her how to smartly play with the system. But Meerub of course won’t listen.

First off, thanks for this hour-long review, dissecting all the scenes from both episodes.
My two cents on the last two episodes are:
The pool scene was beautifully shot; kudos to the actors and the director.
The entire Rohail sequence was absurd, and Waqas believing him over his daughter was even worse, as was going all the way to her house to question her. Slow clap for Mr. Waqas.
Anwar surprised me by defending Meerub in front of Waqas, saying, "How can you trust Rohail?" "He's got to be lying." So, brownie points for him.
The purpose of Rohail's sequence is obvious: to create a rift between Murtasim and Meerub. But how unfortunate that it is happening at the worst possible time, just as Meerub is about to fall in love with Murtasim. The lyrics of the OST will now appear more relevant to the situation.
The black magic scene was unnecessary. Why instill such negative ideas in vulnerable minds?

36:50 In all seriousness, the physics aspect was only slightly dramatized in that scene. Of course, to make the scene look nice, they had Meerab fall very dramatically in the pool. But Aamna is right. Wahaj is much stronger than Yumna, which is why when she pushes him and is on a slippery surface, the recoil causes her to fall backwards. When she pulls Wahaj in, that was a bit far fetched because she would have to use SO much force to pull him into the pool. That seemed a bit much because not only is she restrained in water at that point, but shes also, once again, weaker than Wahaj and evidently weighs much less. You could say that it was slippery, but it was a bit obvious that Wahaj had to push himself into the pool. Overall, I'd give Siraj ul Haque's physics an 8/10 and his direction/dramatics 11/10 in that scene. That concludes this Physics lecture

I would have fixed that scene by when meerub goes to hold his hand to get out of pool she smiles at him, remember fish scene when she flirts with him he lost his head. So when they hold hands Murtu baby would be stunned by her smiling and the element of surprise would tumble him into the pool. That would have upped the playfulness of that scene, not to mention meerub cleverness she would know she is not strong to pull him she will have to trick him. Then it makes more sense he would be super pissed and her smirking swimming away because she not only got him wet but made him a fool.
The pool scene was a missed opportunity it was like they were afraid to cross the line somewhere gave us the bare minimum. Also in the bts she splashes him and gets out of the pool, but episode edit showed a shove instead whyyyyyyyyyyy change that. For all those who thought this was a hot scene I am sorry I felt nothing, if anything it was just slight playful revenge. You want hot pool scenes watch ishqbaaz.

Considering how loving they had shown meerab’s foster parents, I thought that when rohail would go to them, they would feel guilty/sad and think “what have we done to our daughter, she loved someone else and we got her married else where, thats why she was saying no”
but no…instead the father goes “i will disown her”..dunnoe why dramas keep showing that the mere idea of a woman loving/interested in a man..relationship or no relationship…is an unforgivable sin 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Tere bin: finally one of the most awaited scenes of the drama/year...I've never seen such a craze for a particular scene like this. That scene could've pulled off only if the lead pair had that electrifying chemistry and Yumna and Wahaj have that chemistry. These two are on fire🔥 You put yumhaj together and there are fireworks 🎆 and can I just say wahaj looked so hot in that pool scene🥵
The BGM, and brilliant performance of wahaj and yumna took that scene to next level.
First, murtasim Wiping meerub's feet was such an intimate moment and now this sensual pool scene...Tere bin is serving the kind of romance that I've never seen in any pakistani drama. It is becoming the most romantic drama ever produced in pakistani industry.
The execution of that POOL scene was great. Kudos to the director siraj ul haq.
Tere Bin is a perfect blend of romance, drama and action. With each episode, the story gets more intense, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Dear Aamna and Hassan, thankyouu soo much for yet another incredibly detailed, fun, enjoyable and entertaining review. Also, thank you so much for the exclusive content as well. I loved watching it and appreciate all the effort you put into it
You guys are 100% right that if we watch this drama while ignoring logic, its just pure entertainment. I laughed so hard when Murtasim said, "Tumhara nikkah nahi hai jo uth ke chala jayega fuzool ki shartein manwayega." This indicates how frustrated he is with these conditions, and his resentment towards them always manifests in his dialogues. Similarly, when Murtasim said, "Meri biwi ki kia galti thee," even in anger Murtasim manages to express his love. The lead pair's ability to create an electrifying chemistry is the primary reason for the drama's success, and Yumna and Wahaj have achieved that flawlessly. Whenever they appear together, they generate sparks
I think Hassan's observation regarding the opening scene is right - Murtasim's reaction was such that it gave us the impression that he had possibly been shot. Even though we were aware that Murtasim hadn't been shot, his reaction was still the same
As for the scenes with Veena (Maid) and Haya after the accident, I interpreted Veena's dialogue as suggesting that the spell they had sought for Haya's friend had backfired and affected Murtasim instead
P.s: Really excited for tomorrow 8PM

TB: one thing this drama had done is to have hit a pleasurable ‘raw nerve’ with inter generational viewers and many foreign audiences too! We have thrown all our ‘intellectual’ thinking cap and immersed ourselves into this guilty pleasure away from a world so fraught with disasters, famine, floods, wars! Pure escapism, where two of your most talented actors are thrown into diametrically opposing characters who brings such sizzling chemistry to our screens! They both did such excellent work in the dark reality social drama Dil na umeed tou nahi, where they were outstanding, and here they are in a seemingly candy floss drama, keeping us glued to our screens! With Wahaj also being an ‘eye candy’ especially in that much awaited pool scene!😉😉
It would be nice to read comments on when was the first time the viewers think that Murtasin started to have feeling for Meerub, and why!
Then to comment on when they think Meerub started to have feelings for Murtasin, ( which she kept submerged!), and why?
This would make interesting discussions for both Hassan and Aamna!
BTW really looking forward to Hassan’s interview of ‘Meerub’ & ‘Murtasin’ on Sunday!🥰😍

First off, this is really a treat to watch such an in depth review. I have to say Siraj ul Haque has my respect for shooting a drama with such a big scale. Every frame looks epic and gives it a movie-like feel. When Bakhtu gets shot, Murtasim has an immediate reaction where his body kind of jerks backwards. From my knowledge, this is entriely psychological and is kind of a fight or flight response considering he was expecting to get shot. The pool scene was spectacular, and I must say the chemistry was through the roof. It really amazes me that you don't really need physicial touch to show affection and chemistry between a couple. In my opinion, Yumna and Wahaj have delivered it solely from facial expressions and their eyes. The dialogues also help add that extra element of course. I guess this is the only "toxic" drama that I've actually enjoyed thus far. Of course, I've enjoyed snippets of other typical, toxic dramas, but this one is different. There may be some elements that should not have been shown (like that one slap scene), but overall I'd give it 9/10. And the credit really goes to Yumna and Wahaj for the outstanding chemistry, and of course to the writer for writing their lines so well. There are some flaws in the story, but I'm able to overlook it because of the grandeur of the drama (credit to Siraj ul Haque).

An extremely fun review as expected! Kudos to you both! Thoroughly enjoyed every bit!
One thing in this review that I want to point out is that you blamed Meerub unfairly. I know she acted childish but there was her own logic behind both the situations.
Firstly, she took out bullets bcz she doesn't want murtu to get involved in any murder case, which is absolutely justified.
Secondly, the panchait wala scene was also justified in my opinion. Meerub has been brought up in a modern society. She has never been exposed to rural life and therefore she doesn't believe in that Wadera system and all those traditions. And because of this reason she interprets the whole situation in her own way and acted accordingly. She went to panchayat fearlessly and presented her point of view. Also bcz she had faced the same situation herself, she doesn't want any other person to be treated like this.
Therefore, in my opinion both of her acts are totally justified!

Rohail genuinely liked Meerab and seemed like a great guy in the first few eps, especially when he defended her when Murtasim angrily dragged her away from her birthday party(Murtasim was nasty in that scene.) They could have kept Rohail positive and made Murtasim jealous or something. Rohail being negative doesn’t feel natural. Even if he is, the family being involved in all of this and Meerab’s adoptive dad acting Meerab committed a crime by potentially liking a guy in the past is absurd and unfair- way to villainize a woman for no reason. This is giving me Fitoor vibes which was directed and produced by the same makers as Tere Bin.

Ufff thank you so much for this review! Couldn't possibly have enjoyed it more!
I'm enjoying the drama more because of the review.
I've never completely watch a 7th sky production since it's DEFINITELY not my cup of tea, I find the usual dramatics annoying and cringe however Teri Bin is definitely done with the right flare. It gives you a hint of the romantic dynamics you see in Turkish and Korean dramas which about time we Introduced them to our commercial plots.
I would however like to comment that I actually like
The story of TERI bin not because of the actuality of what's happening but as a story of two complex characters, along with other powerful characters like maa begam power control, biological dad trying his best to right his wrongs. What ever events take place, I'm finding their character and emotional evolution more
    Entertaining
My mom and aunt hadn't watched the drama so I started watching it again with them and seeing previous episodes I understand Meerub more. She is an idealistic but impractical or more of a sheltered and naive individual.
She' is acting like the age she is shown (21 years although they keep going back and forth on it) good at heart but immature. Murrasim is good at heart but matured with tough responsibilities. He knows the rights and wrongs but he has to do it in a way so as not to disturb the balance of tradition and culture of the area otherwise people would not hold him at the high regard he needs to be to protect and run his estate.
Anyway loving it! Seeti maar show full time 🥳👏👏👏

I want to address one thing here that the father doesn't give meerab the right to like anyone. So what if his daughter had fallen for a guy also not understandable because it's coming from a father who gave full freedom to his daughter .
She had the right to feel for anyone. Also before even asking from her he is assessing her character. Not a good portrayal of father here. The biological father is way better than the one who adopted her .

Loved the Wed episode, but so disappointed with the Thurs episode. The idea that a wife should not question the husband, and should trust him blindly is very regressive. Meerab does ask him several times about it, and she could also relate to Naila's circumstances in terms of leaving parents and a forced marriage. Just so disappointed in everyone called Murtasim "robinhood" - he literally decided the girl's wedding like she was property. Asking the girl so loudly in front of the panchayat, which girl would say no? And he rewarded the thugs who kidnapped his wife by marrying him to the girl. Problematic on so many levels. Literally dramay se dil utth gaya.

Meerub’s character is a strong one but it’s being constantly robbed of agency. Her emptying the gun stopped Murtasim from killing Malik son. Bakhtu would have been injured either way because it happened before Murtasim could reach for his gun. Her going to the Panchayet and saying that the woman’s nikah cannot happen without consent was spot on. And she had maturely discussed it with Murtasim before hand. The onus was on Murtasim for not letting her know the details of arrangement before hand. He’s too proud to take her into confidence. And he was so arrogant when he said that she doesn’t have the right to forgive the perpetrators. Please let’s not dismiss an educated strong girl and let’s not unduly glorify this feudal lord however amazing his Dolay Sholay might be!

You both put all of my feels into words with this review. So well said and executed, thank you for this discussion. This is my first time watching a Pakistani drama and your discussion of these two episodes put a lot of things into perspective for me. The pool scene was very well executed and definitely a majority of the credit goes to Wahaj and Yumna for their amazing chemistry and build up. They both seem to understand each other very well as actors and understand their characters. The scene was almost flawless. I do wish they dragged the scene on just by a couple more minutes because it was such an anticipated scene. You can tell they definitely filmed more than they showed because they cut the scene where Yumna splashes Wahaj with water (shown in the OST). That would have pushed the tension just a little bit further and given the audience what they wanted. With that said, credit to the whole team of Tere Bin and to Wahaj and Yumna for giving us this scene and hope that there are more enticing scenes to come. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Yumna aur wahaj ka interview bohot zabardast tha hassan but har joke ya punch ke baad drums bajana zaroori hota hai kya show me matlab me thora confuse ho gaya tha ke ye talk talk show hai yaa kapil sharma show😂🤔 ....however..love haute reviews...been watching since 2020 ♥️

Hasan and Amna are so good in discussing sexual tension and rise between Murtasim and Meerub without actually using those words.
And they are actually enjoying such talks.

As Murtasim picked up his pistol to fire at Malik Zubair in retaliation, I thought to myself that Meerab was right in taking out the bullets, or he would have killed Malik Zubair, and he or his father could have shot Murtasim too. He never realised that. Also Murtasim should have taken Meerab into confidence, and taken the consent of the maid privately, before the jirga. Likewise, he never explained to Meerab why she should not get out of the car, knowing very well that she is not the sort of girl who would accept anything or sit back and do nothing. So Meerab cannot be blamed entirely for what she did. While Murtasim was feeling guilty, Bakhtu Sahab, hale and hearty, gave every single detail of Meerab to Maa Begum. 😂 Anwar, a conservative feudal, handled the Rohail matter much more sensibly than the broad minded Wakil Sahab who was ready to disown Meerab.

Agree with everything except about what Meerub did. Meerub could've gotten out, but not run away like crazy after the kids across 3 fields.

@Mahnoor Qureshi, the real take away from the last episode was Anwar's care for Meerab. He is really trying to make up for all the lost time. I am rooting for his and daughter's relation to grow. But I am not happy with Murtasim. Unlike others, I have always seen him to be dominating and controlling . In the last two episodes, it has really resurfaced . He expects Meerab to follow his orders around without any questions , at the same time he doesn't even bother to enlighten her about the dangers and complications of feudal society. They two need to work more on themselves to be better version for each other, Specially Murtasim. Because I can see Meerab is already changing.

@@homeschoolindianmomAgain , why didn’t Murtasim tell the guards to be with Meerab at all times. Where did the guards go?
